The good news part...
Only 1 percent of those polled were undecided.

Hopefully after the debates (if they actually occur) that lead will increase. Beto's commercials never state WHAT he will do if elected or WHAT he has done in the House, only "what will I tell my children."

Same can be said for the House campaign of MJ Hegar against John Carter. All MJ tells us is that she went to UT, was in the AF and did 3 tours in Afghanistan then shows her Purple Heart and DFC. I do not impugn her service and in fact applaud her for it. However, I am not voting for a UH-60 Medevac pilot, but a legislator who understands laws, national budgets, national priorities, and the legislative process.

While good news... it scares me a bit that it's only 9 pts. That's within the margin of a big dem turnout, which usually doesn't happen here (according to several articles I read recently) but could if other forces fire them up. I'd like to see a 25-30 pt spread, then I'd be comfortable! :biggrinjester:

Went to Pete Sessions event last night. He says Dems are angry, fired up and motivated to turn out and vote. Republicans do not seem to be exhibiting that same fervor. Not good.

How can one look at how the left has been conducting itself since the 2016 election and not be fired up? I know I am. Pete is either misreading the sentiment or trying to gin up extra funds because me and everyone I know is bent on stretching out the lead in the U.S. legislature.

I'm not sure that the Dems "Blue Wave" will turn out to be a bona-fide phenomenon the way they've embraced the extremes. Seems like a lot of bluster propagated by a very loud minority of voters.

Widens lead.

I’m not fired up, but everyone in my family is voting.

If, BO, will quit turning his tail, and running from debates, Ted's lead will increase dramatically. He was great in the Presidential, debates, he just tried to get down and dirty with Trump, and that is not his strong suit. Stick to the issues, demonstrate, that he is head and shouldesr ahead, of BO, when it comes to knowing the facts, and the law, and he will do great. JMHO

What these poles don't account for is the illegal votes, people who vote multiple times, and the dead voters. Don'' t let these "good" pole numbers get us overconfident.

It concerns me polls may cause one side to become complacent and the other side may get a boost in enthusiasm to close the gap. Complacency can be dangerous.
