Howdy everyone! New to the website! So here's where I stand right now.

06/30/18: Pass LTC Class
06/30/18: Submitted LTC-100 and Supporting Documents
07/02/18: Fingerprints
07/02/18: Documents received email from DPS
07/11/18: Website checklist show all green except for background check and printing

Waiting on completion now. I had an arrest back in 2008 for Failure to Appear on an unpaid traffic ticket for expired registration and expired insurance. It's a Class C Misdemeanor but as expected I'm in the slow lane for LTC approval. Submitted my case dispositions along with my LTC application. Hopefully it'll be approved soon.

Got a letter in the mail from DPS stating they did not receive a copy of court case disposition. I sent them a copy of the disposition when I originally applied for my LTC. So it seems they lost that document. So aggravating. Just sent them another copy through their RSD website. Let's hope they don't loose this copy.

What a relief. Here I thought it was going to take forever. But now all is good!

I have been checking my status everyday without any status update. Yesterday I checked and everything was green with pending print in yellow. How long should it be before I receive it in the mail?
July 10th submitted application
July 11th fingerprints done
July 14th class complete
July 18th documents sent
July 20th email saying documents received
July 26th everything green and pending print

July 28th mailed

July 29th plastic in hand!
9 days after documents received email.

My hat is off to the great people that issue licenses 2 weeks from taking the class to license being mailed. I was so worried about having to go crazy waiting and this was very easy painless and fast.. so hang in there everyone it will happen!!

Found this forum when I was first looking into getting my LTC and just been browsing it for the time being. Figured I’d post mine and the fiancée’s timeline once everything was in order. Thankfully it’s the same for the both of us!

7/22/18 - documents received email
8/1/18 - website finally shows progress as green except background still under review
8/2/18 - background complete. Print pending!!

Been lurking for a bit so it’s probably time I posted my timeline too. Full disclosure, I’ve got two nondisqualifying felonies from 1999 and 2000 with deferred adjudication out of Florida. However, I had a Utah CHL and got it with zero issues.
6/29 LTC class completed
7/22 App submitted
7/23 Email received thanking me for supporting documents
7/25 App status updates went active. All green save for fingerprints and background check pending
8/9 All green print pending
8/10 Mailed

It’s important to note that I never sent final dispositions nor did they ask for them on any of my cases.
In fact, a few years ago, I caught a bull charge of Unlawful carry by a Lic holder and an assault family charge. Albeit, a few years apart. Both were complete bull charges brought up by cops who were irritated because I knew my rights and the law better than they did. Both were dropped after meeting with the county attorney one time pro se.

Looking around here I wasn't too sure how long this process would take. I'm originally from MA, which means it's almost impossible to get an LTC and if I do it would cost hundreds of dollars. So I'm very pleased on how simple, and straight forward this process is.

8/2 App submitted
8/4 LTC class completed
8/6 LTC-100 uploaded (9am) and finger prints (12:30pm)
8/6 Email received thanking me for supporting documents (4pm)
8/10 Status updates went online, all green except for background check pending (after 4pm)
8/13 Background check completed, print pending (4pm)

I'm really shocked with how fast the background check was. It went from background check pending on a Friday afternoon to being completed on a Monday afternoon.
Now I'm off for a vacation and hopefully I'll have my plastic when I return!

So I just registered to this website, so howdy y'all!

I submitted all docs and paperwork and finger prints and my "Print Pending" was all that was left. It stayed like that for a couple days so I called and the lady told me it was mailed this morning. I checked the website and it was still in print pending. Just wanted to let y'all know in case y'all think youre stuck in print pending, you should go ahead and give them a call! Maybe its already mailed. Hopefully get plastic today or tomorrow to do the wally walk!

It seems that the dps is really stepping up their game to issue these licenses, yet every second I don't hold that plastic in my hand I grow impatient. So for those folks that have recently submitted their applications in and are also wanting to see average wait time I will post mine. The only thing I have on my record is some student loans that defaulted but I am in the process of clearing those up. Not gonna lie even though I have read the penal code of elgibilty and I should be cleared I am still nervous. Here are my dates for the application.
07/22/2018- submitted online application $40
07/25/2018- submitted my fingerprints through Identigo after receiving appointment $10
08/11/2018- completed LTC training course(had to wait for an available class) -$95
08/13/2018- email confirmation that documents were received. (The site was down when I originally submitted them so just because I had to be sure, I gave the dps a call and the lady that answered was very polite and laughed reassured me after she pulled up my account that everything was in and all I had to was wait)
08/14/2018- DPS website finally showed application status all green except for a "under review background check" and "print pending"
So hopefully I can add a follow post to this pretty soon letting everyone know I got that plastic in hand. How long has it taken y'all?
