Background check under review and Print pending completion of application review for almost 4 weeks now...

I have called DPS and was told they have everything they need, but I can't figure out why its taking so long. I am a Veteran and have held a secret security clearance (which I got faster than this). No arrests/felonies, clean record and moved only a few times in the military... I know I haven't given it 60 days, but it seems like most right now are within 30-40 days. Should I call again or is this normal?

I've gone to the website for status, however, nothing is showing. What am I doing wrong? I realize it may be too soon for the fingerprints and I know the class isn't complete, but shouldn't the app show up?

It won't matter what you do and when until you have everything in. I was told by DPS that things move faster when you turn everything in at one time and not at different times. I wouldn't expect anything to change until you submit your class cert.

My status didn't start showing until 8 days after I had all requirements submitted.

2/5/18 - took class & submitted ltc-100

don't know why I waited so long to take the class, but it's done and now the waiting period begins!

My timeline is kinda janky...
So, went to a gun show on 01/06
Immediately went to website and applied for LTC on 01/06
Did digital fingerprints on 01/08
Took LTC class on 01/27 (with friends)
Uploaded the form on 01/27
Status has been on PRINT PENDING for a few days

I am so impatient - I have never coveted a piece of plastic so bad in my life!

Yeah man, your in a similar situation- we did the admin stuff ahead of the class- but from what I was told- they dont even begin to review them until all components have been submitted and verified.

I just bought an LCP via FFL and had I had my LTC, it wouldn't have cost me a penny- dude even suggested I wait to avoid having to pay. Class act fellar. Anyway - I bet your stuff gets expedited a bit more quickly ( At least, I'm hoping it does)

The background took a little while, I am assuming because I have had residency in 7 states over the last 10 years. This whole process was way less frustrating than California.

Not that I am an expert , but you may need to call them and ask, it seems thats what it will do if you need to resubmit fingerprints.

I called today and the nice lady told me that the prints are good just give them time to process my application ....

I too am being told to be patient, mine went into review 1-2-18 and has been stuck on background and print pending ever since.
