Recommend a gun range near Cedar Hill

#1

Post by Jose_in_Dallas »

My sister has some friends in from the UK and they are staying in Cedar Hill right now and they are wanting to rent and go shoot some guns at a range. Only range I've been out near there is Bullseye in Duncanville and I have no idea if they have a good selection as I've never rented any guns at any ranges.

Any recommendations on a range that has a good selection of guns to rent within a reasonable driving distance of Cedar Hill?

Great place. Never crowed.. Family owned.. Most places you have to wait on a lane. They have all of the rental guns you need.

:iagree: I shot there a lot when I visited my daughter in Grand Prairie. She's in Mansfield now so I usually go to Alpine or Target Time. Marksmen Gun Shop is building a ra nge next to the store, but I haven't visited in a while so I don't know the status.

Texas gun range right off 287 going towards Mansfield is another option.

Shoot Smart Grand Prairie for indoors range with rentals.

TX Gun Range south of Mansfield doesn’t have rental guns and I don’t think Alpine does either

I just realized I never responded to this but thank you everybody for all the suggestions. Not sure where they decided to go or if they even did. If they had gone on a weekend I would have taken them myself and let them shoot my guns.

TX Gun Range wont get my business anymore. I went there in September and they have 30.06/30.07 signs at the parking lot and the office.

Seriously? I've never heard of a gun range having those posted up before.

For what it may be worth; It has been my experience that newbies are far more comfortable at outdoor ranges. The dbs, smoke, and close quarters in most indoor ranges intimidates them. I don't know which if any outdoor ranges have good rental collections. One of the posh "guntry clubs" with a private bay would be ideal I guess--but I don't know what's available near Cedar Hill. Sorry.
