Google Earth puts it at about 350 yds to the area in front of the stage. Downward angle of approx 45 degrees and a generic 55 gr. 5.56 would only be about four inches low if the rifle was sighted in at 200 yds. Pretty quick and dirty math.

Onefriend who is very knowledgeable recent ex-military said he was sure it was belt-fed based on the audio.
Has the full firearms inventory been released?
"The ATF just announced that they found 47 firearms altogether in Paddock's possession. In his room, he had 12 of them outfitted with slidefire stocks, which are a device that functions as a mostly unreliable way of manipulating a semi-automatic rifle to fire on something roughly simulating or similar to full-auto fire. He had such slidefire stocks on four Daniel Defense DDM4 rifles, three FN-15s and five Sig Sauer MCX's. No belt-fed or actual full auto weapons were used. [O]thers who lived in Vegas were right from the very beginning. The acoustics of the buildings on the Vegas strip messed with the sounds. It made slower, inconsistent "automatic" fire sound exactly like a belt-fed, crew-served machine gun on the slowest possible setting. "

Drudge headline suggests sheriff said they are investigating if the shooter was radicalized. Link led to infowars and no one else has picked up the story.

I leave it there and see if anyone else confirms the sheriff's statements.

A tripod mount would be pretty serious stuff for and ordinary retired rich gambler guy who wasn't into guns.

Odd about the Las Vegas shooters weapons, from some one that knows a lot more than me. My knowledge about rifles still will fit in a thimble.

Please debunk for me.
Sorry, there's too much in this article to debunk in one sitting. Safe to say, though, that this isn't credible.

I believe I read somewhere today that she is a person of interest.

Why so many rifles?!! For a single shooter? The whole thing seems fishy. Shooting happened for 9min, actual entry to the shooter location happened after 72 mins. What happened, what the shooter was doing in those 63 mins?!!

Think about it for second. If there is no mass shooting, as the shooting tool is gone. The mass killing would not be deterred. Have you seen Mass mowing of people by a large transportation vehicle in Europe?

David Codrea asks an important question
“What ‘gun law’ would have prevented the Las Vegas massacre?”
The left lies about everything. Truth is a liberal value, and truth is a conservative value, but it has never been a left-wing value. People on the left say whatever advances their immediate agenda. Power is their moral lodestar; therefore, truth is always subservient to it. - Dennis Prager

I love how the media is attempting to spin the narrative around as usual, it's the guns...it's the legal evil gun parts that can be purchased online...it's the anti-anxiety meds...it's the gambling...

I'll make an educated guess, also known as hypothesis, and reduce it down to two possible things going on, not necessarily mutually exclusive;

1. He was converted to Wahhabism
2. He was converted by Antifa

What is being put out on the newswires has been fishy from the beginning. There's always more to the story that the public will never know, but this stinks like rotten eggs. What are they covering up?

I'm guessing #2... Which is why he brought so many different rifles with him. The more he had and different brands the more it fits a talking point of the anti's. Notice how he didn't use a suppressor and they brought up suppressors to squash the Hearing Protection Act? Even if he had an illegally converted AR, would we ever know? Probably not because that doesn't fit the agenda and there are already laws against that. We need more common sense gun laws that would out law bump fire stocks. Notice how he also wasn't a Trump supporter? If he was, all we would hear about is how evil Trump and his supporters are.
In certain extreme situations, the law is inadequate. In order to shame its inadequacy, it is necessary to act outside the law to pursue a natural justice.
