the way too long waiting game

I filled out my application and paid my fees on February 23
received fingerprint info on February 24th
Fingerprints taken on February 28
Took my class on March 4th
Email with documents received March 6
And still today

• Fingerprints : Under review
• Affidavits : Received
• DL or ID : Valid
• Citizenship : No documentation required
• Passport Photo Holder (Out of State Only) : Received
• Photo (Out of State Only) : Received
• Proof of Classroom training : Received
• Proof of Proficiency training : Received
• Fee : Received
• Background Check : Under review
• License To Carry A Handgun : Print pending completion of application review
Is the 60day time frame actual days or business days?
When I call the dps to inquire about the status I just get the answer that it is still under review.
Any one have any insight?

I believe it is calender days, excluding govt. holidays.

It's because likely you have an arrest or something on your background. Those apps take over 60 days.

I do not believe that is the reason. I am a Texas resident and my status currently says both of those are "recieved" , when I didnt submit anything due to being a resident.

Not true. I was arrested once which landed me a class B misdemeanor conviction on my record, and my app went into print pending in 34 days.

I have never lived or have been arrested outside of Texas but I just checked my status and I have all greens with a print pending now. Yay now for another waiting game.

Yep, mine went into mailed status today, so I think that I should have it on Monday. I'm playing the mailman game too lol.

I took my class and did the fingerprints and paid my fee...basically sent in everything they needed. Within four days of receiving everything, every line was green, cept in yellow it said background check under review and print pending.

It stayed like that for 2 and a half weeks. Yesterday morning it changed to background check is complete and green, and print pending. Its been stuck at print pending for 2 days now.

They sure know how to drive people bonkers haha

Mine went green and mailed this morning also, but I just started the process on april 26. You started yours in feb?? Thats crazy! I wonder why it took so long.

No clue but this is not my week. I haven received any mail spence Friday. .....I GET MAIL ALMOST EVERY DAY TIL NOW. None of my neighbors have received mail either.
