Police are asking people to not go to the mall. No other word at this point.

I'm listening to "San Antonio Police Dispatch" using the Scanner Radio Android app, you can listen to it by going to http://www.bbscanner.com/listen.php?id=55260

Watching News 4, SAPD Chief McManus just held press conference, Good Samaritan that tried to intervene was shot and killed, 2nd person with LTC shot and wounded one of the shooters. Second perp still at large. Good for the LTC!!

Irony is that Kay's Jewelry* is posted 30.06 and 30.07. Can't believe the perps ignored the signs!

Anti-gunners will probably say if two law abiding citizens hadn't intervened then no one would have been shot, the robbers would have just left

Unfortunately, the one dead is a Good Samaritan. The other robber ran into the mall just shooting.
Just some guy's opinion.

Why in the world would an unarmed man confront two armed men? Looks like the LTC was willing to sit back until shots were fired. Sounds like he handled things well. Still dicey with two against one. Glad he is ok. Praying for those injured.
Any update on other shooter?

I went to that mall a couple of years ago. I cannot remember if it's posted. Hope they catch the second suspect.

This is my local mall. Me and the family frequent it. Fortunately, today wasn't one of those days.
The mall is not posed and the wife and I always carry when going there. It's been slowly going down hill the past couple of years.
For the record, I would not have intervined unless my family was in danger.

How do you define your family being in danger? IMHO, if my family was at the mall and a guy was running around shooting, my family is in danger.

I hate to be an alarmist but it is only gonna get worse folks. We now have violent street gangs in Texas along with the Mexican Cartel.

Carry, practice, and shoot straight!
Please know and follow the rules of firearms safety.
