AIWB help please

#1

Post by cmgee67 »

Guys I'm lookin for a good appendix iwb holster. I carry 4:30 Iwb or owb preferred but there are times when I need to grab my gun and fly and those holsters just are not quick. I prefer all kydex or kydex and leather. I carry a g19. I used to use a concealment express kydex holster with my g26 appendix and it was perfect but wasn't an exact fit for my 19 and when I sold the 26 the holster went with it. What are some good suggestions? 60$ and under is about what I wanna spend. I saw some blade techs for 24$ that I saw had great reviews and there's always the concealment express route for 10$ more for the g19. Any help would be appreciated!

I don't know where their sales put you now, but I could not reccommed Cross Breed more highly . They may not meet your budget though.

:iagree:

Here's what I use for my G23 EDC. I don't see G19/G23 on the drop down menu now, so may need to contact them to see if still available. http://www.crossbreedholsters.com/Produ ... ndix-Carry

Or, they may be phasing them out for this one (that can accommodate appendix, cross draw, or 3:00-5:00 carry): http://www.crossbreedholsters.com/Product/Freedom-Carry

Either way, depending on your body size & usual clothing style the G19 grip might print slightly, & the length of the slide may poke into your upper thigh when seated. Not a show stopper for me, just a heads up that you may need to adjust slightly to the side for comfort while seated, then adjust when standing up/getting out of your vehicle. The G26 would work great for appendix, but again not enough of a problem for me to go shopping for a new EDC.

ETA:. Both of the above holsters are right around your max price range.

I carry a G19 all the time with this Raven Concealment Systems Vanguard 2 Basic Kit. $35

I went through several AIWB arrangments, this is the simplest, most concealable and comfortable one I found.

This is a fantastic holster that comes with a wedge and claw and would highly recommend.
$40 + 2.99 shipping

Personally huge fan of JM Custom kydex but they aren't cheap and fairly long lead time so this is the best value on the market imo.

I haven't purchased one yet but in my searches this comes up the most as the best aiwb holster , though slightly higher than your price range

I own this and like it much.
There are newer options than this, such as the wedge and claw mentioned above.

The clip option on the Shaggy is quite solid.

I use a Raven Concealment System Eidolon. It's pricey but is imminently adjustable, very comfortable and conceals well on me (6'2", 215 lbs, 37" waist).

I EDC my Shield in a Squared Away Customs Kilo AIWB with a G-Code clip for quick don and doff. http://www.squaredawaycustoms.com/kilo/

Mark is a great guy and SAC has great customer service. Their Alpha model is also worth looking at. http://www.squaredawaycustoms.com/alpha/
