Campus Carry Survey for Faculty

#1

Post by Jazz99 »

I received this survey from a colleague. It's all open ended questions and they asked to pass on the info to other faculty.

If you teach, please complete the survey. Here is what was forwarded to me:

"I am conducting research on the faculty view of the Texas Campus Carry Law that went into effect yesterday (Aug. 1) for Texas four-year universities. As many of you know, the law will be applied to two-year colleges next year. If you are a faculty member, please consider participating in my study by taking the survey (click on link below). You will remain anonymous. The survey consists of ten questions, most of which are open-ended. I would also appreciate if you share my survey link with colleagues from other schools if convenient.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

I hate open ended "surveys" they aren't scientific in any way.

Since it is not validating who you are or even if your a teacher seems kinda useless for real data points.

Naturally it is an asinine survey that a bunch of progressive "academics" came up with in an effort to boost their argument against the 2nd Amendment.
Since whoever created it isn't intelligent enough to include any validation of who is completing the survey, everyone on this forum should complete the survey.

I read the first page only.

Non of the questions seemed anti.

What I didn't see was any question regarding the safety of the students.

Is there any recognition of how unarmed students are sitting ducks (if you will) for any madman who decides they're a soft target?

No, but you can include that in your comments. If you were to take the survey that is....

If I had a VPN I would take that survey about 100 times helping them to collect useful data. I am not nearly delusional enough to believe they aren't tracking IP addresses and backtracking the user data for further "help promoting the cause".

Go back and read it again, this time put on your wild-eyed progressive/socialist mindset. Think about what a bunch of typical leftist academics would write into the blank boxes and how those responses would frame the argument when the "survey" results are compiled.
My guess, when the author of the survey looks at the responses, all the pro-2nd Amendment/Gun rights ones are going to be discarded. Because dishonesty is how they roll.

There are numerous anonymous proxies that allow you to hide your actual IP. Might even be fun if you can find proxies on or near Texas public universities!
