The idea of fifty/fifty is something good paired with something bad.
One that has been bugging the fire out of me lately: I have trained/encouraged the family to always keep our exterior doors locked. Lately the youngest son has been coming out to the garage to help me tinker with various things. Just a boy helping his pops. But then when he goes back inside, he locks me out! I love that he habitually locks the door. I am annoyed when I have to fish out my keys to get back into my own dang house (that I had not left). My 50/50.
Feel free to add your own 50/50 if you have one.

Half the time I think I'm at least 50% right, my wife just thinks I'm a half wit.
Sorry.. haven't come up with anything else yet.

I'm usually right less than 50% of the time so I didn't use that one. :-)Jusme wrote:Half the time I think I'm at least 50% right, my wife just thinks I'm a half wit.

I had a similar issue and installed an electronic deadbolt. Best $90 I've spent (well since I bought my last new holster ) Easy to program/change codes and no more lost keys! THere are cheaper ones but this is the one I got. We're 8 months in and batteries are still going strong- this is the only door we use so it gets cycled 4-10 times a day.

I am only right when I agree with my wife (which is more than 50% of the time, so I can't use that as mu 50/50 either)...lolgoose wrote:I'm usually right less than 50% of the time so I didn't use that one. :-)Jusme wrote:Half the time I think I'm at least 50% right, my wife just thinks I'm a half wit.

Just beat on door until they come back to let you in, put the additional work on them.goose wrote:The idea of fifty/fifty is something good paired with something bad.

Re: 50/50
Normally I wouldn't disagree but I don't want to untrain them on locking the doors. They are old enough to think about it. And maybe I am selling them short by not expecting them to think it through. But at this point I'm just pleased that they have listened well enough to lock the door. They're fairly sharp. I can probably tease them about it a bit next time and it might get their heads engaged.suthdj wrote:Just beat on door until they come back to let you in, put the additional work on them.goose wrote:The idea of fifty/fifty is something good paired with something bad.
