One of Rocks premier mating calls performed at their Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony.
Ann's voice just rings and has a depth and resonance that was absent in her youth.
Nancy missed her Ovation Adamas Slothead Acoustic Electric in this performance.
Ohhh man Ann Wilson I was so in love in high school!!!
I can not count how many times I have listened to Alone

There are things that I'll never understand
The road I've walked that has made me who I am [Romans 8:28]
Reminiscing with the picture on the wall again
Reminding me just how far away I've been
I'm looking to lay my burdens down
They're something I can't carry anymore [Matthew 11:28]
I'm longing to lay my body down
Beside still waters and find rest for my soul [Psalm 23:2-3]
My knees are weak and my mind is tired [Hebrews 12:12-13]
I've followed every dream of every liar
If there's a place that you've prepared for me that I belong [John 14:2-3]

This one always brings a tear.
Pop was born on Galveston and died from, I think, a chemical they used to clean aircraft parts with.
He came from an island and he died from the streets,
And he hurt so bad like a soul breaking,
But he never said nothing to me, yeah
Say hello to heaven

Listening to one of my oldies, "Countdown to Ecstasy", I thought to share my favorite cut, "My Old School" on the forum. Sadly the few videos available just didn't sound very good, even the Japanese lip-sync tape was plagued with poor sound and hokey performances. Becker and Fagen hated to tour due to their inability to reproduce the music created in the studio at a live venue, hence the dearth of options.
Imagine my surprise when I came across a note for note cover! Performed by the Lexington Lab Band, a group of praise and worship musicians from the Lexington KY area, I was in sonic shock.
The LLB has been together for a few years recording note perfect covers of a wide range of artists, their website http://www.lexingtonlabband.com has videos of most of their work and was, for me, a neat way to spend a little time listening to some great music.
