2 that reflected bad on bottom are Kimbers.
Left comped is a Springfield Defender, seems to be rare as I cant find any info on it on the Web.

Not that i am aware of. I have 1 other .45 a Sig 220. Didnt look right in the pic though. I also have a LaserAim .45 which looks like a 1911(ish) clone but the Smith has it for 2 months now trying to make it work. Looks really cool but wont fire more than twice w/p jamming.ScubaSigGuy wrote:That's quite a 1911 collection.
Are you by any chance related to Longtooth?
Very nice.

They're mesquite. How great is that?

No, but I'd be very hesitant about putting such grips on any gun. Yeah, they're flashy, but rattlesnake skin can be somewhat delicate. My father had a few pairs of rattlesnake boots over the years; he won't buy them anymore because they simply don't last. The skin dries out, especially so with sweat (salts), and becomes brittle.Jeremae wrote:A year or two back I saw a set of grips for sale on THR to fit a 1911 made out of real rattlesnake skin. I was never able to communicate with the seller.
Has anyone seen such grips for sale somewhere?
Rattler grips would probably not last very long at all. Between sweat and the daily "rubbing" of clothes on the grips during daily carry, I think that they'd probably come apart within a few months.
