Well, no plastic yet. Talked to real nice lady at RSD and she informed me that the printing and mailing happens in San Antonio so she said to give it the 7-10 window for that to happen. She did confirmed my address and that indeed everything had been approved and mailed on 4/29. Keeping my fingers crossed for today's mail. Good luck everybody, the end is near....!

Hang in there I know there is a mailman running around somewhere out there with your plastic.

To my fellow waiting room patrons:

It's been fun. This forum helped with the wait. It was comical at times and interesting at most.

As it was once said "all things must come to an end". So with that, I depart the "waiting room" with a heavy heart.

I called on 5/3/16. The hold time was reported at 27 minutes, so I opted for callback. Fifteen minutes later, I got the return call. I apologized for piling on and I know they're probably sick to death of calls asking for status. I appreciate the work they do, etc. I called with a more-bees-with-honey approach -- well, the woman on the phone could not have been nicer. She told me my app was complete (without going into specifics) and that I should expect card in 15 working days or so. This morning 5/5/16 my site status changed, now showing Change of Address, Lost or stolen, etc.) so I'm hoping to see a surprise in the next day or so, based on what I've been seeing here. Bit of a shmooze? You bet. Did it work? Unknown, but it sure can't hurt. Looking around, seems May 5 is a red letter day for a lot of people. Congrats and good luck, all.

I called RSD this morning because I couldn't believe that I had gotten a status change. The lady who I spoke with was actually nice and said that I was approved and printed and my LTC was mailed out yesterday. I should be getting it today.

Wow! A few people on here that have taken their class and received their confirmation email weeks after mine are already getting their plastic. Time to call and complain...

Called today, and they're telling me that someone switched my application to "Peace Officer" and then back to Military, and this has added an extra 2 to 4 weeks to my processing time.

I'M SO MAD!

The state has resorted to dishonesty in order to get by with taking longer on processing apps!

On Feb. 25, I received confirmation that they had received all my documentation.
On May 2, I received an email say my license had been approved.
On May 5, there was a status change on the website.

Maybe, just maybe, my wait is nearly over.
