I am all in also on 1/13. I called and was told it went to printing on 4/1 and that takes 14 days. Woo-hoo, hopefully we will be out of here soon.

All this good news had me thinking positively...

so... I checked the website for the 42nd time today.

Why do I punish myself...?

Even though I was told I was approved and in printing, website has not changed.

I was told I was approved on a Tuesday, website changed the following Friday, plastic arrived the next day. Your wait is almost over my friend!

Oh, believe me, when I get home I will skip to the mailbox, certain that the license will be there.

but it won't be...

So on Saturday, I received the heralded UPDATED STATUS on the website (with options to change address, report it stolen, etc.). Since I had moved in the interim period of time (sorry my life can't be put on hold while DPS takes its sweet time), I submitted a change of address form on the website and paid the fee. I got an email receipt for that, and a confirmation that "my checklist contains no required supporting document items." Which is good...I think (that's ambiguous wording).

So after two days where the website is unavailable (48 hours after that address update), my page has gone BACK to the original status (no options for address, etc.).

Has anyone else seen this phenomenon? WHAT DOES IT MEAN?
It means you have something in progress. In this case, you now have an address change in progress. In a few days, it will go back to the other screen. :tiphat:

The best idea is to forget you ever submitted the paperwork. Then three months (or so) later you go to the mailbox and get an envelope from DPS... You think, What could this be...? Open it up and LTC!!

The alternative is that you memorize your DL number and enter it into the RSD website with increasing frequency and frustration for those three months... Then you start writing letters to government agencies, then you hit refresh over and over on the website, you come to the waiting room a lot, you start shopping for guns, you start selling guns... You go to the range, you carry in your house so much you think that is the only place that people carry...

Then you start making sarcastic posts about the process...

Patience.

Finally you learn to meditate.
Spot on. Also, you start humming the LTC "on hold" tune in the shower.

I started giving myself a limit on how many times I can check it in a day. Once in the morning (around 8:30ish), once in the afternoon, and once before bed. I sometimes look another 5 times, but I still try to limit myself.:

I think we need to get a psychologist sitting in the waiting room to offer help and guidance to the members that are displaying obsessive/compulsive behavior. I sure could use some help. :???:

Nothing in the mailbox...

I don't know how I feel about it. I don't think I want to leave everyone in the waiting room. I talk to you more than my family...

I know this is just plain stupid....

My status updated today and I still keep going back to check it just to make sure they are not playing some cruel joke on me!
