Got my plastic in today

My timeline,

I will admit I wasn't expecting anything until late April at the earliest.

All in and conformation email 1/20 plastic in hand 3/25. I did not call or anything. I used to carry a gun when I was a cop so it wasn't that exciting for me to get the card. I figured that if you call and complain you paperwork will go to back of the line. We had a guy build a house near our small airport, he started complaining about noise . Guess whose house gets buzzed a lot.

There had not been any rhyme or reason lately. Some got them quick and some longer, some called and emailed and some didn't. Some got answers to emails some didn't. It looks like it depends who's stack it got put in and how fast they worked. The next hurtle is how long it takes usps to get them from Austin to wherever you are. That could be an extra day or two.

I just hope mine gets here soon. This waiting is killing me. I got my end finished quickly and turned in, I would like the same from them.

We were both were in the same day. I just got approved today, so I expect that you'll be approved within the next day or two (if you haven't already). Good luck and stay true..... It finally our turn.

78 days now! So I guess waiting the weekend will put me at 81 days WAITING!

Wow! I've seen a few folks in these forums that are getting their LTC that were all in weeks before me.

BTW Gnameree, my apologies. I mis-interpreted previous posts that you were on your way to getting your LTC.

I know it's frustrating, but we will have plastic in hand.

Not sure why the email took so long to get. I called after 7 days because I expected the email in 2 days like I had heard. They confirmed they had everything. I hope its no Indication of the wait. So now I wait!!

4/2 Well still nothing. One call a few weeks ago I was told I was through background and just waiting for someone to match up my paper work which he confirmed they have had since 1/13.

I made the mistake of moving while my application was in line. I've already gone through the change of address affair with the post office, but will the licence get shipped to my old address or my new one?

As long as you did a change of address at the post office they should forward your mail to the new address you provided.

You're still going to have to do a change of address on your license

Thanks! Although it wasn't working this morning (of course it's not, I thought), I eventually was able to submit a change of address form.

I'm right on the same dates as you guys. I did get a call on 3/30 from an RSD sup that told me that mine was being finalized up and gonna be sent to print later that day.... However, here I sit. NO CHANGE, NO PLASTIC.

I hate that "no change" part. How hard would it be to put a timeline on the website...? Dominos did it for my pizza. RSD can't do it for my license?

Wow! I've seen a few folks in these forums that are getting their LTC that were all in weeks before me.

I know it's frustrating, but we will have plastic in hand.

I'm still happy for those who've navigated the state
System and received a CHL. JUST IRRITATED with govt employees. And that's another on if my rights: 1A!!
