I just got a very similar call!

Prints taken: 1/12
Docs submitted thru website: 1/12
Prints rec'd by DPS: 1/14
RSD email confirming docs rec'd: 1/22
Emailed state rep for help: 3/16
Call from DPS: 3/18 (Apparently, the email to state rep did something. They're going to see if there's anything they can do to expedite. If so, I'll hear back in a couple of days. If not, 2-4 more weeks.)
DPS called me: 3/21 (Background check looks good, need to get the photo attached from the DL system, should be sending it out Friday or early next week.)
DPS called me: 3/30 (License has been approved and sent for printing; should arrive in the mail in the next 7-10 days)
Website change: still waiting...
LTC in hand: still waiting...

I was told the same thing, my site changed 2 days after approval date and had plastic in hand a few days later.

I had everything in with confirmation from DPS on 1-11-15.

I've been checking the website with no change. I've sent 2 emails with no response. I've tried to call for 3 weeks straight and get the usual "due to high call volume no one call take your call".

Still nothing.

So only two weeks since the paperwork hit their PO box. Now the doubt is setting in, "did they get everything?" It's not like the web site is telling me anything. If USPS can track a package around the world why can't DPS track paperwork in an office. Maybe next week I'll call to double check.

Gun Fund= $156

Happy hump-day everyone.

I am really glad to see January applicants getting their plastic, this is great news. However, has the December backlog been cleared up? Are there still December applicants waiting?

I called yesterday around 6:00pm, sat on phone for 20 to 30 min. Listening to a dynamic tune playing over and over. Eventually a lady awnsered and verified everything was in and and give them a couple of weeks. CHL Trianing received 26th. Hopefully sooner than later!
Ps: They are open till 7:00pm M-F

My brother and I sent our stuff the same day. He got the std response when he called, too. I really think contacting my state rep's office shaved off a few days...

Just received a call from a DPS supervisor. Great news. My application was processed and approved this AM and will be sent to print by the end of the day. Please allow 7-10 days for delivery. I've noticed, judging from recent posts on here, that it generally has taking less then less then a week from this point. My {mental} target day is now 4/6/16, which would be 82 days from "all in to plastic".

:thewave

Timeline
12/4/15: Application
12/7/15: Fingerprints (received by DPS 12/8/15)
1/14/16: CHL-100
1/15/16: Uploaded CHL & DD-214 to RDS (all in date)
1/21/16: Received confirmation of receipt
3/23/16: Received response from DPS (as the result of a call to my state rep): Just wait a bit longer, should get to it next week :waiting:
3/30/16: Received follow up call from DPS: Approved and sent to print (Day 75)

Website Change: ?????
Plastic Received: ?????

Looks like the end of the tunnel is finally in sight for me. As an aside, it looks like if you've called for a status update (either through state rep, DPS Director or Governor), it may not hurry your app along, but it looks like they will call you when you get approved if you request it. That worked for me and a few other in the last few days or so. I do not think they will email you approval based on a few of the recent responses.

My husband and i submitted our apps and payment the same day. Fingerprints done the same day, 2/4. I literally received my license two weeks later. He has yet to see his and can't reach anyone to get the status at all. What is up with that?
