So far nothing at ours. Some parishioners have been discussing it.
When you write the bishop, include Charles' recent updated facts from the DPS crime stats.

Remember, carrying past a 30.06 sign has been reduced to just a Class C. But that's not the case in church. It's still a violation of PC §46.035, which is a Class A.
I don't recommend it either way. But suggesting to just carry anyway is also frowned upon in this forum - Rule #4.

"The key is to be proactive and plan for it ahead of time and train for it ahead of time, so in the unlikely event something does happen, you're ready and prepared to deal with that situation," Smith said.
The pope has stated that he is against people having firearms. The church leaders are going to follow the lead of the pope. The church leaders want to please the pope and leaders in higher office.
The new Texas open carry law exempts houses of worship, but Cazares-Thomas said many gun owners may not know that.

I'd like to know the specifics of what this is supposed to mean....and does the DD intend to instill whatever proactive plan at all the churches. Armed guards? What? What about smaller rural churches?
