Re: "Waiting Room"
Went to the mailbox yesterday (2/1) and there it was!! Took a little longer than a few that are getting theirs now, right at 60 days but the wait is finally over. Thanks for all you that kept the info flowing. I am out.

There is a contractor that does the actual grunt work of making the card, attaching it to a letter, stuffing and mailing. Probably all autmated, but still it takes some time. Go oil the gun and get it ready for your Wally Walk.sigsauerguy wrote: I called last Wednesday, 1/27 and they said my license was approved on that day. I don't know if I buy that, they seem to be making every effort regardless of background to get people there liscense issued by the 60 day mark. I wouldn't get discouraged, I think some of those people tell you what they know you don't want to hear.

WHAT?! That is not even right!! Were they using your app as a doorstop?! Really lazy, incompetent and completely disorganized, I think.

Door stop?! I'm not sure. I know they're busy but I was thinking I was really at my end visit of the waiting room & not sure either why one person (nice gentleman) there would actually take the time to look me up & say "everything is looking good & give us a call the next following week" & then I visit w/ the (other lady) & she proceeds to tell me in only 4-5 seconds "that my information hasn't even been entered yet & they have my app, my CHL-100 & my fingerprints."
I'm not downing anybody there I'm just a little deterred that I'm getting 2 different stories & not sure what the actual truth is.

Re: "Waiting Room"
I had a Lady last week tell me they hadn't received my CHL-100 form. I called back 2 days later and a guy told me he doesn't know why she said that, they have all my forms.GlassG19 wrote: Door stop?! Re: "Waiting Room"
Hey all!
I applied online 12/28 and received confirmation email, fingerprinted 12/30, took the class 1/4 and mailed 1/5, certified, the 3 resulting documents, signed for 1/7.
I've not received any further email, or mail. So far, nothing on the website except the patience message.
Naturally, I'm antsy, but it's not near 60 days yet... I will report back when the license is received.

Re: "Waiting Room"
GlassG19- I was told virtually the same thing by a lady yesterday afternoon. (Slight confusion about docs recieved, quickly said it wasn't entered yet, and that it will be 45 to 60 days from here)This is after I was told last week that my app had already been sent off to background check and that I would most likley have plastic within 2 weeks.
I am so confused...

Re: "Waiting Room"
Uploaded the docs online Dec 14 for both my wife and I. We had already taken the course and finger prints earlier.
Email confirmation same day, Dec 14.
My wife's status on web changed 1/29 (or a day or two earlier), and she received her license yesterday, Feb 1. My status hadn't changed after checking it about 5 times yesterday.
My status on web changed this morning, Feb 2.

Well at least I'm not the only one then, doesn't soften the anxiety of waiting though.
My concern is that somebody of obvious authority at DPS would "lie" to us in regards to has not been even entered into the system, yet many folks of the SAME or SIMILAR timeline's are being told something to the effect of "it is approved & has gone to printing" or "almost done with background check you shouldn't be much longer" they're being told something.
