There has been some discussions on it but I'm not sure any of us really know

Jury is still out. :iagree: IMO, I don't think they actually start anything until it's your turn & being that they are always behind I would guess that it's about 2-3 weeks after your email confirmation received. :waiting: :cryin

I kind of suspect that your place in line is determined by your conformation email. As long as you get any other required events (finger prints etc.) before they get to your file you're good.

But just an educated guess.

Updated total timeline - I am VERY close:
Class - 11/30
Prints/Emailed Docs/Confirmation - 12/3

I called last Wednesday, 1/27 and they said my license was approved on that day. Being in Austin I had hoped to see it by Saturday but did not.

Website changed 1/30 (Saturday). Still waiting on plastic - hopefully/should be today.

Once approved, it goes into a batch to be sent to the actual card manufacturer and then prepared for the mail, so it could be a week or more. There is a contractor that does the actual grunt work of making the card, attaching it to a letter, stuffing and mailing. Probably all autmated, but still it takes some time. Go oil the gun and get it ready for your Wally Walk.

Today marks the start of my 7th week of waiting...come on status change!

I'm fully prepared to wait at least another two weeks though...but I'm also optimistic!

Timeline
1/07-submit online application
1/18-finger prints
1/31-submit CHL-100
just got off the phone and i was told to expect the license in the mail at the end of march.
Thought my expected mailing of the license would provide some useful info.

So still no change to the web site today. Go to get the mail and....

It just appeared in my mail box.

All in date was 14 Dec, docs were the last thing to go in. :hurry:

Just thought I'd chime in and give my time line ..

Last and final document (fingerprints) was submitted Dec 17th
The website changed Jan 29th. Got my card Feb. 1st.
Not a bad turnaround in my opinion.
