.45 Colt Ammunition
Looking for good prices on .45 Colt for New Vaquero - so no +P. Target practice and home defense. I've never bought off the internet, so I don't have a feel for the process or where to look. Any help would be appreciated.
Will I have to sign for it on delivery?

Re: .45 Colt Ammunition
My two cents worth ain't worth that much, but I'd like to chime in here. About three years ago one of my son-in-laws gave me a new model Ruger Blackhawk in 45LC. I had always wanted an old 45 revolver, but then you find out how expensive the shells are. When I can afford it, I plan on sending it to Ruger to have a .45ACP cylinder added. I would love to shoot this pistol a lot more, but I'm a cheapskate. I've been hanging on to my ammo the last couple of years, due to that bunch in DC. The Blackhawk I have did not come with the ACP cylinder, or I might have worn it out by now. I keep my eyes open at gun shows and everywhere else I go, checking prices on .45LC ammo. You might do well to find someone who reloads and start saving all your brass, always save your brass. Hope this helps a little.

Re: .45 Colt Ammunition
This is a nice option. I have a new model Blackhawk with both .45 Colt and .45 ACP cylinders. It's a lot of fun to shoot and really not that much difference in felt recoil between the two versions. A lot less expensive in ACP. I did find a couple of boxes of Colt at Academy, but the ACP is the way to go. I don't know what it costs to buy the cylinder by itself.hounddog wrote: When I can afford it, I plan on sending it to Ruger to have a .45ACP cylinder added.
