But we are all human right? An LTC who accidentally walks past such a sign has a legitimate defense. So, while 99.999% of HEBs might simply ask the "offender" to cover up, that one Mad-Mother-inspired manager may call the police just to make an example of that person
HEB will not tell you to cover up. I used the contact form on their website to ask this question since only two entrances were posted and they were often obstructed by garbage cans. The unit director of my local store called me yesterday. We had a nice friendly discussion about the issue. I was told HEB is in the business of selling groceries and they are not trained in how to deal with an armed person. Their policy is to call the police and let them handle the issue. He understood the impact of the way things were posted and has made changes to try and keep the signs from being obscured by cans etc. I was also informed the middle entrance is now posted. I haven't been by to verify it. Based on my conversation HEB is trying to properly post their stores.

You really sure? When I stopped by the Cuero HEB last week I thought the same thing. When I stopped this week I discovered my mistake.

#1....the 30.07 sign was hard to see even if you entered through the correct door....due to the lighting and the white letters on glass.

#2...here's the biggie for that particular store.....the signs are not posted at the actual entrance to the store. There is a covered area outside across the front of the store where patio furniture and the like is for sale. The part of the covered area near the entrance is open on both sides. There are overhead metal roll up doors that are always open when the store is open that allow entry from both sides of the covered area. Last week it was raining and I had to park far from the front entrance so I entered the store from the covered area and didn't see any signs. If you don't park directly in front of the entrance and enter from the side you won't see a sign. There is only a 33% chance anyone will enter through the door with the signs.

That's the store close to me, I went there last weekend and defiantly saw signs on both doors, ( both entrances ) English on 1 side and Spanish on the other, at the bottom of each door.
Did they take em down?
Im going tonight and will look.
I'm glad you were defiant when you saw the signs. I hope you didn't give voice to your defiance by OCing into the store. :smilelol5:

Did you intend to type "defiantly" or did you intend to type definitely?

The word defiantly really doesn't seem to make sense unless you open carried even though you saw the proper signs.

No harm, no foul. I realized that it was probably a typo from the get go. I was just pulling your leg a little bit and meant no harm.
