I'm good with that. I voted eat & shoot because you didn't have a "doesn't matter" option. ;-)

Thanks txdang. Sounds like a great idea. We could meet for lunch at Big Daddy's about noon and then mosey on over to Armadiollo guns. Looks like they've made a lot of progress since the last time I was there. No shotgun though, so Andy, you're gonna have to shoot pistol.

I did a "meet up" from another forum a few years back. Turned out one of the attendees was not what he claimed to be. He is now in prison, and I will not say more. Keep your eyes open guys.
Do what you say you're gonna do.

I'm going to have lunch with TAM, he's not going to make me put the lotion on is he?

txdang wrote:You might consider Armadillo Gun Range (http://www.armadilloguns.com/) if you find yourself in that area. I go there regularly and like it a lot. It's about 10 minutes from Big Daddy's (6 miles up 78) and a much nicer range IMHO than Garland. I haven't shot there on Saturdays so I don't know how busy they are then.

Sounds like a good suggestion! :iagree:

Very simple. Learned a bad lesson. Way more cautious now.

OK. This coming Saturday (1/16) is supposed to be 48 degrees and rainy. The following Saturday is supposed to be 61 degrees and cloudy. So I suggest we do this on Saturday, Jan 23. Meet at noon at Big Daddy's Roadhouse BBQ for lunch. They have picnic tables large enough for a good size group under cover outside the building. First person there grabs a table. Second and following go in and get your food. When you come back out to the table, the first person can go in and get their food.

After we eat, those that want to shoot can mount up and drive up 78 to Nevada (That's Nev A Da, not Nev AH Da) to the range.

Here's the map to Big Daddy's: https://www.google.com/maps/place/1000+ ... e9725fe506
Here's the map to Armadillo Shooting Range: https://www.google.com/maps/place/6710+ ... f47768ad18

When we leave Big Daddy's I'll take the lead since I know where it is. When I get to the turn I'll pull off on the shoulder on the right. When you see my black Grand Caravan, turn left and follow the road into the range. It will be on your left.

That sounds like a good plan to me.
