Thanks for your efforts, Charles!

I'm 44 YO, single because I'm still looking for the twenty-something supermodel who will love me as I am.

I'm a Fightin' Texas Aggie, Class of 1983 in the Insurance biz, FFL (since 1983), CHL Instructor. I'm from Baytown originally, went to A&M for 6 years, have a place inside the loop in Houston and a small farm in Deep East Texas.

My business partner and I were picked for the initial DPS CHL Instructor class back in July of 1995. I taught my first CHL class on Day One, Sept 1 1995. Since then I have averaged about 48-50 classes per year. We operate , probably, the only indoor , underground shooting range in this part of the world. We also have a State certified mobile CHL shooting range .

Since our buddy Tom Delay helped to re-district me in East Texas (Polk County), I'm in Jim Otto's Texas House District. I haven't had the chance to meet him yet.

I'm a .45 guy since I was about 14 YO (Mom bought my first Colt Govt Model, series 70, .45 from Carter Country after I saved up the $232 over the course of 14 months). My current favorites : my Wilson Combat CQB and a Glock 19. Revolver-wise, I like a S&W 386PD ,7 shot,2.5" bbl with hiviz sights. Plus I usually have a CAR-15 with me in my travels.

Actually - if you were a CT you would know that the trigon has an underground range where we (CT's) could fire the M-16s to qualify with!

Dude,
I was non-reg . And when I was there, you could still go thru the steam tunnels and look up in the armory (or so I'm told) . They had M-16A1's and M-60's. Ultrasonic burglar detectors were in place.
One day in about 1983-4, the UPS driver pulled up at the back door in the corner , had someone sign for some big boxes, and left them by the back door (facing the quad) one morning. The TAMU office employee was going home at 4pm and walked past the boxes and thought to take the time to drag them into an office. The next morning they opened them and low and behold a couple of boxes with 4 boxed Colt M-16A2's in each big box !! They sat outside all day and were almost left there overnight and put in an outer office over night. After they were opened they went straight into the armory! Big Whew from the Trigon that day!

We usually went up to the Old Bryan Army Air base (now Riverside campus) off Hwy 21 and shot. They have/had a big berm and they guard gate was never manned. : ) Different time for sure!

That must have been a bad year for UPS. While I was in ROTC at Arkansas Tech, we had several cadets who belonged to the NG unit two blocks off campus. A couple of them related an identical story about their armory. They told it independently, and neither were prone to bull (not being Aggies), so I had no reason to doubt them.

23 years old and married for 6 months. No kids but 2 dogs that may as well be.

Just graduated UT (Hook 'Em!) and have been carrying for 7 months.

I carry a G23 in a C-T.A.C.

I also like to visit Glock Talk and PDO.

I found this site on a Google search when packing.org was down a few weeks ago. I got my license in June and a good holster the first part of August (C.Tac) and have carried ever since. I would have gotten my license sooner, but I didn't have the time and money available at the same time.

I am fortunate enough to work for a company where the CEO believes in gun rights.

I am a computer programmer, and a father of a 1 year old. I used to sail, work on cars, play on computers, and more, but in recent times I just work and sleep.

Oops. 77 posts and I haven't introduced myself. Sorry guys. Been enjoying this great forum for a while now. Also thank you for not flaming everybody off this board, a very well mannered board.

My stats:

29 years old, born in Kermit, TX. (Bragging rights to anyone who's been there!)
Only carried for 1 year so far
Married 9 years, one 6 year old boy (already a shooter!!!)
Refrigeration mechanic for Kroger grocery stores
Carry guns: S&W 908 9mm, S&W 642 .38 Spl, or Bulgarian Makarov in 9x18 Mak
Favorite handgun in my collection: old Taurus model 65, .357 Mag with 4" barrell and fixed sights. Gotta love those wheelguns!
Hobbies include handguns and rifles, shooting anything that goes bang, reloading ammunition, pc flight simulation (can't afford the real McCoy yet), and making custom fixed blade knives.
