Welcome to Texas and to the forum. There is a wealth of knowledge on this forum.
Use this time waiting to carry around the house. This will get you comfortable with carrying, let you find out what works and what doesn't, and helps to eliminate those trips of constantly adjusting your weapon or pulling your shirt down.

Thanks guys. I'm still waiting to schedule my fingerprints. The MorphoTrust site still doesn't recognize my DL or trace number.

It's one of the many reasons I left. It's a pretty state and my family is still there, but I'm ok going there on a visiting basis. They can keep their high taxes, dumb laws, and crazy gun laws.Eric Lamberson wrote:Welcome to Texas! Great to see someone from California moving to Texas who LIKES firearms.

Re: The Day has Come!!
How long does it take before you're able to schedule fingerprinting?
I submitted my application online at 1900 hours yesterday and the fingerprinting site still says the following when trying to login.
MorphoTrust USA has not yet received confirmation of your Texas Concealed Handgun License (CHL) application. If you submitted your application online today with the Texas Department of Public Safety, please wait 24 hours before attempting to schedule a fingerprint appointment with MorphoTrust. If you submitted your application via traditional paper documents the Texas Department of Public Safety will notify you in writing when your application has been received and will confirm that you are eligible to schedule a fingerprint appointment.

Re: The Day has Come!!
No status update and nothing in the mail. This wait is worse than waiting for Santa as a kid.
Re: The Day has Come!!
I finally seen the website and it now gives me the option to change address and such.. I wonder how long before I actually get plastic in hand
