To eddie2612 from Dallas:
Don't let the miles from your home to Friendswood put you off this great event.
Mapquest will point you to I-45 and just head your ride southbound.
Road trip! Road trip! Road trip!
Just as we can all feel better that we are armed citizens, enjoy your right
to burn up some gas and see a bunch of Texas before all our cars are powered
by 9 Volt batteries and we'll be lucky if we can commute to work without having
to get on a bus.

This day is worth much more than you cna imagine. The price of the day makes a motel doable even on a preachers income. I take vacation time to come. It is worth every minute in training, fun, fellowship.Eddie2612 wrote:This really looks like a great event.. Shooting ranges in my area charge 130 dollars plus for this type of class.. This looks like one heck of a value.. Being from Dallas area Im hesitant to "commit" but this really seems like a great place to pick up some fantastic knowledge from like minded folks..
Thank You,
Eddie

I won't be able to go in October, as I will have a new baby by then.
I'm hoping to make April of 2010, however.

Mrs. Oldgringo just said, "whatever" to the October date. So, where is PSC and are there any decent RV parks nearby?

There have to be good RVs close. Set the date & we have to shake hands sir, then head streight for the Texas Star.

Venus: Well, after giving it considerable thought, I guess that's a good enough excuse. We're countin' the days to the blessed event!
Oldgringo: Here's a map of PSC itself, to help you find your way after you make the turn off Parkwood Ave (FM 528).
The street address of the club is 3121 W. Parkwood Ave., Friendswood, TX 77546. Go to Google Maps at http://maps.google.com/, and copy-and-paste this search string:
Bingo! Looks like you'll have four options within 10 miles of PSC, the closest, Meadowlark RV Park, is five miles south in Alvin. For ease of navigation, I think I'd look at Twin Lakes RV Resort on Hwy 6 in Manvel, about 8.5 miles away.
There are a number of RV parks that dot the Seabrook/Texas City area nearer the coast. I'm sure you'll be able to find something suitable.
Lookin' forward to seeing you!

My wife and I are new to the CHL program (as with a lot of people, waiting on plastics from the state). The TexasCHLforum day at PSC sounds great! We look forward to it very much! Let us know when more details and registration information is available. Thanks

This is exactly what I have been looking for - a great learning opportunity and a chance to meet new folks. I look forward to hearing more and will make it regardless of the date. Thanks for the opportunity.

August would be a no go for me (Graduating/Moving God knows where to do God knows what) but I hope to be settled by October so I can come to this!
