I'm a little unclear why these people aren't being arrested for blocking the roadway? I bet if the Klan was out there doing this heads would be rolling. On another note, there is some irony in democrats carrying a communist flag around mad about an election.

For once I wished I lived in Austin so I could go laugh at them.

Mostly peaceful thus far, had a few individuals pushing the boundaries.

I don't remember any protest in the streets in 2008.

I don't mind protest, but it is a shame we allow blocking the roadway (illegal) to be called a protest.

I'll give you that. Blocking thoroughfares isn't good news.

How can you tell the difference between this rally and normal Austin traffic?

Must be legal if the police chief is doing it: http://www.wfaa.com/mb/news/local/anti- ... /350489180
The protest has remained peaceful, APD said. Several APD vehicles are following the protesters.
APD Chief Art Acevedo was walking with the crowd.
"We disrupt traffic for all kinds of stuff, festivals, races, everything else," Acevedo said. "I apologize ahead of time, but I'd rather have these young people exercise their rights peacefully."
