Easy answer is because there are a lot of shady characters in and around Wal-Mart!
The left lies about everything. Truth is a liberal value, and truth is a conservative value, but it has never been a left-wing value. People on the left say whatever advances their immediate agenda. Power is their moral lodestar; therefore, truth is always subservient to it. - Dennis Prager

If you can look up the most crime per month from a single address and usually Walmart is at the top.

5/20-Plastic in hand.

I hope that I never need a gun in the Wal-Mart parking lot. But I will always have it with me in the Wal-Mart parking lot.

A gun is like a parachute, if you ever need one and don't have it, chances are you will never need one again.

I wouldn't go to a Walmart parking lot without at least 1 gun

When I lived in Frisco, property owners fought for a very long time trying to keep Wal-Mart out of their city limits. They said it attracted the wrong crowd. After two opened up right on the outskirts of town and Frisco losing business to Plano and Little Elm, they finally broke down and built one.

Not a month after the Wal-Mart opened someone was shot.

Wow...unbelievable. I believe Mr. Sam Walton would be appalled at what has happened to his Wal-Mart.

I used to live in Tulsa. North/Northeast Tulsa is an incredibly bad area. So, they picked one of the worst Walmarts to profile.

I can confirm that this is true. I did Criminal Justice as a minor at TCU, and took a class in Crime Mapping using ArcGIS. We took the data from FWPD calls and massaged it to only include things that we wanted, like UCR crimes, or only violent crimes, or just property crimes, vehicle thefts, and so on...

Everytime, the Walmarts were hot spots. It was to the point that we jokingly called it "Walmart Mapping" instead of Crime Mapping... The locations in Fort Worth on S. McCart, S. Hulen, and the near east side at 121 and beach were all bad. They hadn't built the one at 287 and Berry yet, but if they had...

So, even at my nice little Benbrook Walmart, I have a pistol with me.

Well you build a business that caters to low income people, what do you expect? Not trying to insult low income people but not a whole lot of middle to high income people that rob you in the parking lot.

I don't know that you insulted low income people as much as you painted them with a wide brush as the left tends to do with classes of people.

"Low income" criminals steal your wallet, TV, guns, etc...

"Middle to high income" criminals empty your bank account, steal your identity, wipe out your retirement...

I had an incident at a Walmart. I used to park way out for the exercise. They came from two directions. My left and right. Whenever you see someone going that direction it always causes my alarms to hit a high number. When I saw that they were flanking me on two sides I stopped.

I told the guy I was with to stay where we were. The bad guys met about twenty yards ahead of us.

Long story but the eventual they gave up and moved on. I was armed and aware of my surroundings.

I always armed though. They were stalking me.
Gun control is like stopping drunk driving by making it harder for sober people to drive.
