Bradshaw is readying a hotline and is planning public service announcements to encourage local citizens to report their neighbors, friends or family members if they fear they could harm themselves or others.
The goal won’t be to arrest troubled people but to get them help before there’s violence, Bradshaw said. As a side benefit, law enforcement will have needed information to keep a close eye on things.

The first person turned in to authorities should be Bradshaw himself. He's clearly a danger to his neighbors.

Hmm...drop a dime on your neighbor because he has guns and you don't like him. What is to keep people from doing just that? And then what? Even if everything looks / seems normal, are the deputies or mental health caseworkers going to be able to seize guns from the home, just in case?
Slippery slope...

Hmmm, my neighbors might be busy calling, but wait, they'd be calling on them too.
Here's a good friend of mine and he let's everyone know how he feels. He is still flying it today.

Folks turning their neighbors into the government over some perceived "threat"...sounds like what was done in Nazi Germany or the old Soviet Union, or China, even. All totalitarian regimes.

I just read the article to my wife while we were eating. She got so mad I thought she was going to bust a vien in her head. I think we are about to be asked to leave the restaurant.

Is there a number I can call and turn myself in? I need the reward! But I will have to tell them to be careful because I know that guy wont go quietly!

I'm not sure how to answer this. I guess where I live it should be, which one of my neighbors hates the government to most!

After enough bogus/vindictive/simply malicious/ etc. type calls are received, this nonsense will be ended - if it ever gets off the ground...
