E-mail sent to AMC

I will no longer be patronizing your theater or any other AMC theaters because you are endangering my family’s life by prohibiting concealed weapons permit holders from entering your theaters, therefore guaranteeing that anyone who wants to commit a mass murder like the one in the theater in Colorado can do so without any hindrance. If such a massacre should occur in your theater your management who is responsible for this policy would be more guilty that the shooter for the deaths of your innocent patrons.

I will make sure that people who believe in the right to self-defense are aware of your pro-mass murderer policy so that they can be sure not to give you their business in the future.


I hope everyone will join me in boycotting these theaters.

They have for quite some time, but I don't of one that has a compliant sign.

Really? Have you indicated this on Texas3006.com? I searched there and didn't find one with a compliant sign. Where is the one you know of with the correct sign?

AMC Stonebriar (Frisco, TX) has signs posted all over the place now. I also confirmed this with the manager after I got home, and told here I wouldn't be seeing movies there anymore. I will post a message on Texas3006.com.

Do you know of any local theaters that allow carry?

I only go to Cinemark theaters. They have a little sign in the ticket windows that say "firearms prohibited" with a little gunbuster symbol and that's all. I don't think any of them are posted. Years ago, the last time I went to an AMC theater, they only had 8.5x11inch sheets of paper with the 30.06 wording. I went on in that time, but that was the last time.

Go to Cinemark 16 Allen, only a few minutes up 121. Much newer, cleaner, and easier parking.

That was the policy when I worked them.

I'd be interested to know if the AMC at Grapevine Mills is posted. The last time I was there they had the TABC Blue sign because they sell alcohol.

None of them allow Concealed Carry, they just don't forbid it.

I was at Stonebriar earlier today. The AMC did not have any compliant 30.06 signs. At least i didnt see any. They had the proper wording.....printed on 8.5x11 sheets of paper. Same as the AMC at Firewheel. I just ignore them and carry right past.

I take my business to other movie establishments that allow concealed carry.

As is your choice. However, if the business posts a non-compliant sign, then they ARE, by default, allowing concealed carry.

the way I figure it, AMC is a big enough company, they have a few lawyers around....they know how to not allow CHL's. those signs are to make the gun haters feel better. keep it concealed and you'll be fine....or go somewhere else, but for heavens sake, don't send them a letter!

Irving Mall AMC took down their non-compliant 30.06 signs sometime back during the summer.
