Article about Lon Burnham's bill to force Texans to only carry on a Texas CHL. I was interviewed for this, but apparently she didn't like what I had to say about it, as she only used quotes from Mr. Brad Brasuell

Well, I posted my thoughts. I refrained from profanity, but I had to make a conscious effort.

Hope it goes as far as his state income tax bill is likely to go... And doesn't the Texas state constitution prohibit an income tax?
4/13/1996 Completed CHL Class, 4/16/1996 Fingerprints, Affidavits, and Application Mailed, 10/4/1996 Received CHL, renewed 1998, 2002, 2006, 2011, 2016...). "ATF... Uhhh...heh...heh....Alcohol, tobacco, and GUNS!! Cool!!!!"

State Rep. Lon Burnam, D-Fort Worth, said he's tired of Texans turning to states with cheaper fees
Yeah! Who do those Texans think they are? Objecting to his Stalinist plans to disarm the citizens and redistribute wealth.
We're here. With gear. Get used to it.

Slanted Journalism, whether video by Curic or Rather, or print like the above example is an effort to take the reader to a foregone conclusion.

The author of the piece, or the editor, can change the way the wind blows.

Such efforts don't have to come from the LA, NY, London, or Wash Times.

Its kinda sad when it comes from Ft.Worth.

Dallas or Austin, I can understand.

Newsprint revenue and profits are on a downward spiral. Maybe if they were a source of information, rather than opion, that might change.

The only Newspapers that I now subscribe to are the WSJ and a couple of rural weeklys.

Rant off.

Thanks,

salty

I believe that quote came from Mark Twain.

His statement proves that the license is just a revenue generator, and really does not do anything "with an eye to prevent crime".
Took class, paid fees, changed my mind. I want constitutional carry.

Not as sad as Ft Worth re-electing that F-grade politician. Burnam flunked the NRA rating but got re-elected, showing the yankee city slickers outnumber the bubbas in Ft Worth now.
I believe the basic political division in this country is not between liberals and conservatives but between those who believe that they should have a say in the personal lives of strangers and those who do not.

Personally, I want to carry a Texas CHL. But if someone else wants to get the Utah version, more power to them. Don't ruin reciprocity!

Don't blame all of Ft Worth, Burnam's District is heavily Democrat.
