And so it begins...

As the name indicates, this is the place for gun-related political discussions. It is not open to other political topics.

Don't be embarrassed, I did too. Neither of us voted for Daley - the old man or this one. There are other ex-Chicagoans on the Forum too.

At least you got here as soon as you could.

The laws that Daly so loftily attests to might mean something to me if Chicago wasn't one of the most politically corrupt places in the country.

Nearly 53 years ago the 101st Airborne was sent to Little Rock to enforce a civil rights ruling.

Maybe it's time to send them to Chicago.
When in doubt
Vote them out!

Yep. Hizzoner and little Richie are/were pieces of work. Anyone who thinks that the state of Illinois isn't governed from the Chicago mayor's office is nuts.

It Begins ??? NO ... It continues !!!!
The thought keeps coming to mind a MAJORITY of these residents voted for this local & state goverment.
While I firmly beleive the legal battles should continue, I also feel untill all those who voted for these politicians
become desperate enough look at their value system nothing will change.

I would suggest an additional strategy ..... Let those who dislike the current values of the majority LEAVE. :reddevil

Providing the numbers are enough think what effect it would have.
It would hit them in their pocket books and money talks.
Fewer taxes paid.
Fewer workers in the work force.
Retail sales are less.
Corporations would consider relocating for better educated workers at competitive rates.
It could be a snowball rolling down hill.

OK ... just my 2 cents worth.

Already happening! I left Kalifornia in 2004 due to overwhelming rampant liberalism. And I was only one (well, technically, two) of a stampede of people leaving that state. Look where they are today!

OK -- I meant where Kalifornia is today, not the people exiting.

Quite a large number of voters, whose votes can be counted on by those in power, are unable to leave. They are buried in local cemeteries, only come out on election days to vote, and can't go anywhere. They are even unavailable to speak to the newspapers, which would love to publish interviews with so many voters over 100 years old.
