As a gun owner and Texan I'm proud of mr Cruz...especially after his questioning of the senior senator from kommiefornia and her irrational drive to limit our 2nd amendment rights...which history shows then limits all other rights. All because she knows the absolute devastation of such devices...umm yeah lady because you carried one for years you hypocrite.

Keep up the good work mr Cruz

I love the cajones he is boasting, while roasting the long term politicians in their lack of constitutionality. It makes my day every time I get to hear him. Time to start dumping some tea into a harbor methinks.

But he seemed to be the lesser of 2 evils (an unknown with very little political experience vs Dewhurst: an entrenched politico who seems to have undergone a gradual shift in political philosophy away from the conservative values that I favor). I can honestly say that I'm very pleasantly surprised by Senator Cruz's first few months in office & I hope that he keeps it up. When the old-guard GOP rinos are getting their panties in a wad about what he's doint, I think he's on the RIGHT track. I only wish that John Cornyn's seat were up in the cycle after next instead of 2014 so that Ted Cruz would have a chance to establish more seniority. But since Cornyn has seemed to take notice, it's not all bad.
There was a lot mud slinging against him during that election and I didn't know what to believe. I sure am glad we voted him in.
I too was in that group that wasn't sure of what to believe. Ultimately, I also decided that Dewhurst was known quantity and I didn't really like what I knew, so I actively supported Cruz and donated to his primary and Senate election campaigns. I'll be honest, I still wasn't sure ofwhat we gotten, but now, count me as impressed. Standing up to Feinstein and getting attacked by the folks tha he has has made him pretty darn respectable in my book.

Way to go Ted! Keep it up!

Just got this from Ted Cruz's office on future plans:
WHAT IS AHEAD

In the coming weeks, it is expected that legislation will come before the Senate on gun control, immigration, and the President's budget. Sen. Cruz has pledged to use any procedural means necessary to ensure Congress does not pass any laws infringing on the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding citizens. On immigration reform, Sen. Cruz believes there can be broad, bipartisan support for increasing resources to secure our border and streamline our legal immigration system, but any pathway to citizenship is inconsistent with rule of law and profoundly unfair to the millions of legal immigrants who have waited in line. And on the budget, it is critical that we get our nation's fiscal house in order, restore economic growth, and pass a responsible budget that doesn't continue to spend away our children's and grandchildren's futures.

I faxed John Cornyn yesterday thanking him for his Second Amendment support.

I then asked him why our junior senator was standing alone (from Texas) regarding the possibility of a filibuster.

A reminder... not too long ago, Senator Cornyn WAS our conservative voice and the choice of the "right". Although she represented Texas well, many felt that Senator Hutchison was a little closer to the "middel of the road" than many wanted.

Now, Senator Cruz is refusing to take a back seat to the old boy network and we're fussing about Senator Cornyn.

:patriot: I think we could do alot worse than Senator Cornyn and like others, take time now and again to congratulate or thank him and others to encourage him to support various measures.
