Re: Texas House Committees Announced
I've asked a half dozen pro-gun friends to sign on... let's hope they follow through.
I'll quit carrying a gun when they make murder and armed robbery illegal

Re: Texas House Committees Announced
I just mailed my entire address book the following email,
Friends,
Along with a few anti gun bills, there are several "pro" gun bills in the Texas Legislature this session. Pro gun legislatures need support from gun owners other than just panic buying of guns and ammo.
Charles Cotton has developed the Texas Firearm Coalition (see link) for people to get the latest news and track legislation for this session (both good news and bad). He is asking that everyone join (no cost envolved). If we can show a large number of names (similar to the popular but useless whitehouse.gov petitions) we can use that as leverage in Austin.
4 things you can do right now!
1. Please follow the link below and join (each family member)
2. Please book mark that link and check back often for gun legislation updates.
3. Post this information to your Facebook page, or any other social media you have for networking.
4. forward this email on to everyone in your address book
Three things you can do that would be a huge help, but can be costly (monetarily)
1. Join the National Rifle Association AND the Texas State Rifle Association
2. Get your Hunting license
3. Get your CHL
This isn't the time for gun concessions from law abiding, honest people. It's time for our legislators to do what we demand them to.

Re: Texas House Committees Announced
I cannot go into detail now, but we need a much larger response to the membership drive for the Texas Firearms Coalition to support an effort to prevent this problem in 2015. We can't wait until the next legislative session, the next election, or even the end of this session. Join TFC now!
thanks for posting this.
This is actually the first I've heard of TFC.

Re: Texas House Committees Announced
Do you want only Texas residents for TFC members, or do raw numbers from anywhere help the cause?Charles L. Cotton wrote:Thanks for helping to spread the work folks! This is exactly what we need.

Re: Texas House Committees Announced
It would be better to have Texas residents. If I'm asking during a hearing if we have Members from outside Texas, it tends to dilute the political impact.Jumping Frog wrote:Do you want only Texas residents for TFC members, or do raw numbers from anywhere help the cause?Charles L. Re: Texas House Committees Announced
Hope you are seeing an uptick in new memberships the last day our so. I'm getting feedback from across the state people I invited to join are signing up. I also had all in my household sign up.
