The leftists will use it to take away many of our rights, including the right to travel freely and without permission, the right to own a gun, the right to choose our own living accomodations, and the right to choose our own diet. Remember that we are dealing with idealistic narcissists who believe that only they are educated, intelligent, public spirited, and capable of making good decisions for society. To them, we are nothing more than stupid troglodytes who do not deserve any real liberty since we don't recognize the superiority of the "enlightened left". A pox on them all.

BINGO! You have summed it up quite well...these people are VERY dangerous...they don't "pry it from your cold, dead hands"...they take it all away a little at a time, "for your own good"...and they convince the gullible that its a GOOD thing... :grumble :banghead:

And the hard leftists that want to do this stuff, and are pushing behind the scenes? Yes, its people like Soros, but it is also people like the woman quoted above...really, those people are just not like you and I...as many differences as I have with any of you on here, we are far more alike than the people working on a future that NONE of us on here would care for...as I was told by a Special Operations Lieutenant Colonel many years ago, it is NOT paranoia if they really are out to get you.

The American eugenics movement has never died. It has found cover in Planned Parenthood, making eugenics "legitimate" by disguising it as women's health organizations and such. But the ultimate goal is, and has always been, to stem human reproduction and select out an elite few worthy of using Earth's resources.

No doubt about it, we have warmed greatly since the last ice age. If you want some interesting reading, take a look at Michael Crichton's "State of Fear". While it is a work of fiction there are many non-fiction references. Must keep in mind that Crichton was a MD, which if memory serves worked more in research. He wasn't a dummy by any means.

About a year ago some CERN research was finished. After much delay starting and down playing the results it finally came out without much publicity. They determined that our climate change is largely related to ::::: changes in the SUN!! Imagine that. Of course the release, after the powers in control edited the results, said that it looked like the sun might have some impact on our climate. Some of the most politicizing of scientific research since Galileo. :banghead: As was mentioned, it is so sad that the majority of people are so gullible.

BTW, everyone knows that the last ice age ended because some hippies were driving on the glaciers in a VW minibus belching out smog and puffing grass. Couldn't be any other reason, Right!:

So all of us 'proles' are supposed to remain in the hive and not venture out into the countryside? So riddle me this Batman. Who's going to grow all the food for your vegan diet? A lot of these lefties have no idea where food comes from. They believe it sprouts from the local 'collective' or something. Or they think it come from the grocery store. Like they have some kind of Star Trek device in the back of the store that just produces food out of thin air.

One other thing about the hard core lefties. They keep saying there are "too many people on this planet". Okay, then riddle me this. How do you propose to correct that? And how many people would you have to eliminate in order to get it to a number they believe is right?

The funny or sad thing is that they want "others", not them, to disappear from the face of the earth. Tell you what, I will lend my guns to any liberal hippie that wants to off themselves for the sake of saving the planet. I'll even supply the ammo. Think any will take my offer?

There are a number of solutions. Many praise China, who limits the number of children from the non-enlighted group. On the other side of life, the UK has the same type of board proposed for Obamacare that makes determinations about how old you can be and still be allowed to have lifesaving medical treatment. An Irish colleague of mine had to got to extraordinary lengths to get his 72 year old father authorized for prostate cancer treatments. It was the typical political "back door" bypass of the approval system. If you know one of the enlightened ones well enough, you can get the treatments. As another post indicates, Planned Parenthood helps to eliminate many more.

Another thing I would like to point out. All of the carbon emissions from human beings since the beginning of the industrial revolution, even if not gradually removed by natural processes would STILL not move the percentage by a noticeable amount. The total mass of the atmosphere is over 5 quadrillion metric tons (that's 5,000,000,000,000,000 TONS!) .038 % of that number is 1,900,000,000,000 TONS (1.9 trillion tons). As you can see, human emissions are barely noticeable when talking about percentage.

No, Rainbow 6 ended with them being left in the forest without cloths or tools, just like the animals they love so much :)

I didn't check the sources or double check the math, but here's a pretty good explanation:

We need more carbon, all we had was crushed into diamonds when Superman was at Comicon.
The issue isn't "too much" carbon, it's just people seem picky about what form it's in ... give it time and then get the diamonds after it all settles and compresses. Then just go around picking up the diamonds the volcanoes spit up.
Meanwhile, make more carbon, fast as you can so future women will be happy and diamonds will cost less. :yawn

TABLE 4a.
Anthropogenic (man-made) Contribution to the "Greenhouse
Effect," expressed as % of Total (water vapor INCLUDED)
U.S. Department of Energy, (October, 2000)

I’m not worried about CO2, I’m worried about all those hydrogen cars spewing out water vapor. ;-)
And if I were called upon to identify briefly the principal trait of the entire twentieth century, here too, I would be unable to find anything more precise and pithy than to repeat once again: Men have forgotten God. - Alexander Solzhenitsyn

Devil's Advocate here: I assume our understanding of "Greenhouse gasses" has not changed in the past 12 years since that was published?
