Anyone who lives in Washington DC and has ever registered a firearm since registration began in 1976 has 90 days to go to police headquarters, re-register the gun (for a $48 fee), and get photographed and fingerprinted.
Failure to do so within the 90 day window will automatically result in registration for that firearm being revoked and the firearm itself being placed on a permanent unable-to-register list. The owner will also then be in possession of an unregistered firearm, which is a felony in DC.
Since the police have the names and addresses of everyone who has ever registered a firearm there, they will have no problem going to the houses of people who didn't re-register, arrest the person, and confiscate the gun.
Friends, THIS is why we fight gun registration efforts.

I've got to stay out of that COUNTRY. With those rules even if elected I could never serve in the congress in DC. How do our politicians get around in DC?Kythas wrote:Anyone who lives in Washington DC and has ever registered a firearm since registration began in 1976 has 90 days to go to police headquarters, re-register the gun (for a $48 fee), and get photographed and fingerprinted.
