I thought Jay Carrey was the press secretary for Obama. You mean he's in the movies?

Never thought much of Jerry Lewis either. Their brand of goofy comedy just never appealed to me.

Now where is that video of him back in (2008?) removing a concealed handgun from his jacket and placing it onto a stunned David Letterman's hands/desk during an interview? I tried a quick search but it was sort of, well, gone.

Nor to me either, but at least Jerry Lewis was a class act. (Perhaps not so much in recent years.)

That's the problem with Hollywierd. Most of them would be so much better at their chosen craft (singing, acting, dancing, etc) if they'd just allow themselves to be humble enough to admit that that's their talent & leave it at that. When I go to see a concert, I want to hear the music not a 5 minute lecture on the social-cause-de-jour between each song. When I go to a movie, I want to watch the story unfold on the screen without being bombarded by snide social commentary. Who cares where any of these buffoons stand on any issue?? They don't make policy!!! Yet the fact that people will pay to watch them do what they do somehow transforms them into some sort of self-proclaimed authority on things they know very little about.

There is a video response to his video. You can find it at: http://townhall.com/tipsheet/katiepavli ... y-n1548600" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

This guy just 'bout sums it up:
The fact is Hollywood used to be patriotic and conservative, but a lack of respect for its power and influence over the years has put conservatives into a position of fighting an uphill battle. Why? Culture and Hollywood trump politics every, single time on nearly every issue. In the age of the low-information voter, we have an obligation to call out Hollywood hypocrites like Carrey because ignoring them will only lead to a tougher battle down the road.

That song is an insult to the heritage of the south and west of US and anyone who watched a Western movies. I loved John Wayne movies and all the great western six-shooters and the good guys chasing the bad guys. This Jim is another bad Yahoo on the most wanted list. :biggrinjester:

Jerry Lewis was able to achieve his comededic brilliance without profanity or lewdness.

I would hazard to guess you never heard him live. Both he and Cosby, have that reputation, but back in the day they were not afraid to go profane on stage.

Never saw them live, no. Jim Carey movies are full of it.

Now he is calling Fox News a "Colostomy Bag" for calling him out on his tasteless video--accusing them of intolerance

Odd, I just can't get worked up about show business/artsy types and their opinions.

I just don't care what they think.

Remember, in the show business world, publicity, ANY publicity, is good.

My guess: There are precious few show biz types who aren't liberals.

I can think of only a few who aren't, but plenty who are.

So?

Avoid most movies, music and the rest of show business?

Or not...?

Your call.

But, get worked up over their non-show business opinions?

Nah...
