Re: Colorado House passes 4 gun control bills
Here is the announcement:
Magpul is proud to announce the “Boulder Airlift”, our program to make sure that responsible Colorado citizens have the opportunity to own standard capacity PMAGs prior to the potential implementation of pending legislation that would infringe on their Second Amendment Rights. The program will be open to all responsible CO residents, (with both billing and shipping addresses inside CO) and provide access to a limited quantity of PMAGs. Remember to contact members of the Senate and the Governor prior to ordering and urge them to oppose HB 1224.
Full details at http://www.magpul.com/colorado" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Similar to the Berlin Airlift, the Boulder Airlift will bring much needed supplies to freedom-loving residents trapped inside occupied territory. While we plan to initially use FedEx or UPS instead of aerial delivery, we figure that $5 flat rate shipping will make up for any loss of “style points.”
The increases we have made and continue to make in production capacity will allow us to open this program with very minimal impact on the number of PMAGs we are shipping to our dealers and distributors out of the state. We are also aware that Colorado is not the only state with existing or pending magazine capacity restrictions; we are working on programs for other affected states as well.

Texas did OK for nearly 100 years of Democrat Legislatures, almost exclusively Democrat for the most part. In my youth, winning the Democrat primary was tantamount to election, and we held the Republican County meeting in a man's living room.OldCannon wrote:This is exactly what will happen to Texas when it flips to Democrat-controlled legislatures.
Carefully note I didn't say "if." We are being destroyed at a glacial pace, but destroyed nonetheless.
John Tower began the thaw, in 1961, the first Republican Senator from Texas in 100 years, and it's been onward and upward ever since, almost a complete reversal. Make sure it stays that way.
In the words of Calvin Coolidge, "Don't vote for Democrats."

Re: Colorado House passes 4 gun control bills
JALLEN, I understand what you are saying, and know you are basically correct, except for one thing: these aren't the Democrats of your youth. They aren't just crooks, they are ideologically driven crooks. They aren't simply content to get the money out of your pockets, they also want to control your life, down to very small details. So, I certainly do agree with old Calvin Coolidge.JALLEN wrote:Texas did OK for nearly 100 years of Democrat Legislatures, almost exclusively Democrat for the most part. Re: Colorado House passes 4 gun control bills
I was just thinking about something in another thread that is related to this thread. When this 15 round maximum magazine ban goes into effect in CO, as far as handgun ammo goes, I bet that's going to force people to switch from 9mm to either .40 or .45. That'll bite if all the handguns in CO are .40 or.45. It's already hard enough to find .45 ammo.

Re: Colorado House passes 4 gun control bills
Easy: to make gun ownership more expensive so fewer people with be able to afford to buy guns. Background checks themselves also help by adding an inconvenience to every transaction.TrueFlog wrote:Can someone explain the rationale behind requiring purchasers to pay for the background check? Who's paying for that now? Does the dealer have to pay the feds for every NICS request he submits, or is that provided by the feds for "free"? If the dealer has to pay for it, then I would argue that the purchaser is already paying for his own NICS as part of the purchase price of the gun.RPBrown wrote:http://www.denverpost.com/breakingnews/ ... ut-limited
Background checks on all sales
Paying for your background check
Banning guns on campuses
Limit magizines to 15 rounds
They will now go to the democratic senate where they are expected to also pass.

Dunno about its trends, but IIRC OK didn't have a single county vote for Obama in either election.TexasGal wrote:So if Texas turns blue, where would all us God fearing gun clingers go? I have no wish to live in California or Texfornia. And I guess I'd have to change my user name
I am not a lawyer, nor have I played one on TV, nor did I stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night, nor should anything I say be taken as legal advice. If it is important that any information be accurate, do not use me as the only source.
