Drive up I-25 and cross the border into Wyoming. A little colder, still beautiful, and much more conservative.

Thanks. Might look into that. Vacation time booked for this year.

Looks like CO will be added to the list of states where I try not to do any business with businesses from that state.

I actually did some business with a company in CO this morning and told the person this might be one of the last times we do business because of their crazy legislatures in CO wanting to strip the citizens rights away from them and leave them defenseless.

He said he understood, he’s hearing that a lot from customers. I don’t think he realized all four of these bills had passed the house (and I didn’t either at the time) because he kept saying they think it will all blow over and nothing will happen.

Looks like it's going to happen.

I hope the anti gun, anti oil, anti big company Californians stay away, although their morals will only keep them at bay for so long when they find out that there is money to be made here. :banghead:
I have reluctantly accepted the near certainty Texas won't be a decent place to live and work long before I can afford to retire. The question is do I stay and fight the good fight or jump ship to save what I can.

Where else is there? Besides, we are here.

I would, if I had a job there. I'd leave whatever guns/gun stuffs that couldn't be made legal there with a friend in TX and enjoy my much nicer view. Maui and Oahu are the two most beautiful places on earth that I've been to.

Of course, after a while, island fever would set in and I'd have to move back... Preferably to TX...

Also, it'd have to be a very good job so I could afford to pay for... anything, really.

Please take a minute and write Governor Hickenlooper. IMO, he seems to be on the fence.
A VETO from a Democrat Governor might actually help stop the insanity.

CO State Web Site: http://www.colorado.gov/govhdir/request ... n-leg.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

My letter to him today:
Dear Governor Hickenlooper,
It appears likely that you will soon be asked to put your signature on HB 1224, HB 1226, HB 1228 and HB 1229. I ask you to VETO these bills.

These bills clearly infringe on the protections enumerated in the US Constitution, which you have sworn to uphold, and they will do nothing to reduce crime. These laws would only serve to make otherwise honest, law-abiding citizens into criminals. I give you the example of Mr. Nathan Haddad, a NY resident and military veteran now facing 35 years in prison for possession of 30-round magazines. Murderers spend less time in prison. It's a travesty.

Ten years of a nationwide "Assault Weapons Ban" have demonstrated conclusively that such laws have no effect on crime. If you sign these bills into law I will forever remember you as the Colorado Governor that was so politically overrun by California progressives that YOU condoned these feel-good, do-nothing infringements on Coloradoans' Natural Rights.

Are you a politician afraid of the next election, or will you uphold the oath you gave to all Coloradoans? Are you a leader or a lemming?

Sincerely,
RGB

I guess I'll have to read this nonsense before I go to my brother's wedding in June. God forbid I carry a handgun with a magazine larger then they allow. :smash:

Write to the Governor, maybe you'll help change his mind.

Colorado is suffering from a temporary exhibition of "progressive" excess.

Fortunately, Coloradoans have initiative & referendum process ( unlike Texans), so in the long-run passage of these measures will primarily result in the end of political careers for those supporting or signing off on them.

Denver, and Pueblo are the nesting habitat for such rotten egg production.

Here is the latest fro mMagpul:
We are proud to announce that within a matter of days we will be going live with a new program. Due to a bill currently moving through the Colorado legislature, there is the possibility that Colorado residents' ability to purchase standard capacity magazines will soon be infringed. Before that happens, and Magpul is forced to leave the state in order to keep to our principles, we will be doing our best to get standard capacity PMAGs into the hands of any Colorado resident that wants them.

Verified Colorado residents will be able to purchase up to ten (10) standard capacity AR/M4 magazines directly from Magpul, and will be given immediate flat-rate $5 shipping, bypassing our current order queue.

Our customers outside of Colorado, please know that our PMAG production will continue at an ever-increasing rate until we do relocate, shipments to our distributors in other states will continue, and that we do not expect relocation to significantly impact PMAG production. We are also aware that Colorado is not the only state with existing or pending magazine capacity restrictions; we are working on programs for other affected states as well.

Full details and instructions will be announced when we are able to go live; please watch here for the coming announcement.
Just might have to move to CO for a month. :biggrinjester:

I wonder how many of these will show up on ebay.

K, that settles it... I'm buying their stocks for all by ARs. I mean I'm a bit bummed that my back-ordered stuff (from Brownell's) will probably get delayed a bit more, but I strong admire their attitude towards COs current government.
