Does anyone know if the tacticool security at the range last night was supplied by CNN, or by the range itself?

Looked like someone the range owner came up with. Looked pretty silly to me.

I assume the range/store/property owner had employees under whose control the property was ... open carry their pistolas...

It was good that none of those "went off" by themselves nor jumped out and went bonkers or whatever the guns do by themselves that scares anti-gun people so much. I thought tacticool vests, holsters, spare mag holders, other garb made people go to theaters or something ... they should ban that *color*

I am surprised no one called out his polling numbers. 58% support banning semi-automatic? I seriously doubt that. Either their numbers were all polled in blue states or there is really that much ignorance about firearms.

PM said the Navy sniper was killed in a shooting range "very similar to this range" That was completely false.

PM said the Aurora shooter used a slide fire stock. This is the first I heard of this. Is it true?

The owner of Tactical Firearms said anybody could buy the necessary parts to turn an AR-15 into a fully automatic weapon. Can you do this and would it be legal? He made it sound like it would be a easy thing to do. He also made it sound like an ordinary person could just go to his shop and buy a class 3 weapon. He did a poor job (or it was edited) explaining the difficulty, waiting time, cost, etc. of obtaining one of these things. When asked aboout the home defense weapon, he said he would use a shotgun. He fell right into PM's trap on that. A good reply would be to ask "what is the threat".
The whole thing is a trap.. The only way to have fair and truthful debate,, and this is, what it is , is a debate.. is in am town hall meeting... no cameras, no sound recordings... just people , guest or standard bearers for each side.... depose each other in front of the people.. you will never get a fair shake from any news org these days, no matter what side they lean.. there is no fair and balanced never has been, never will be.......

everybody has a agenda... we pick the agenda we like...and of course the other side is poop :nono:

I've noticed a few Fox News contributors say things to the effect "We don't need more gun laws and need to protect the Second Amendment, BUT we also need to take a look at universal background checks."

To me, I think a Brit telling us we need to ban guns is like a desert dweller who has only seen it rain that we need to stop drownings by banning swimming pools.

They haven't truly had the RKBA.

Plus, Piers Morgan is an idiot.

I was very unimpressed by that store owner and his responses - he played right into Morgan's hands for the most part.

Nugent and Abbott both did well.

Patrick and Ferguson (the conservative radio guy) also fell into Morgan's trap, raising their voices, talking over each other, shouting etc. Of course, Morgan does this too - but he gets a pass because it's his show and he's VERY good at acting like a complete horse's hind end in a way that comes across to like-minded idiots as merely "controlling" the conversation from the rabble that are his guests.

All in all, another slanted hour for the gun grabbers.

The owner of Tactical should have never gone there. All he did is give the gun grabbers more ammo for the stupid "You can walk into any gun show and buy the parts to turn your rifle into a machine gun" comment. Not to mention the fact that doing so would be highly illegal. Now they can all say "see, here's a gun shop owner that says you can do it and it's simple to do." But then again, after his previous comments, did anyone expect he would know what he was talking about or be on our side. Isn't he also the guy that has no issues with all gun purchases going through an FFL? Pretty convenient when his store is an FFL and that would be good for his business.
Thanks,
Rich

The one thing I see on every talk show is the gun owners on the defensive.... we must stop being on the defensive, and take the offence.. NO ground will ever be taken by a defensive action... The only way to hold or gain ground is in a offensive action..... P.M. is always on the offensive and over shouting his guests... My stand is to stop answering his inflammatory questions which are designed to place the responder on the defensive and reply in kind with a equally inflammatory questions to place him on the defensive...

We have to stop defending and make the gun grabbers defend their stance.... Take the initiative, question what good were Obamas 23 executive orders, what DID the orders do to keep mentally deficient people from harming others and themselves., what did the orders do to curb murderers/homicidal people for inflicting damage on the innocent.... What did the 23 orders do to curb medical homicide, alcohol related homicide. which are higher than gun.....

I would force the talking point about crime on crime death (BG vs BG), drug deals, theft, muggers, rapist, etc.. separate home invaders shot by home defenders, police shooting bad guys, all the stats that prove gun ownership is good, verses illegal gun ownership... point out that 90% of all gun crime are done with guns obtained illegally..... point out that the Administration provided Illegal guns to people/nation where guns are banned...

If they are going to have talking points on homicide then ramp up to the larger categories that happen every day.... Take the fight to the liberals as to why they are not acting on the larger picture.. I would also note to them that according to the FBI stats, that gun deaths are the lowest they have been since 1960 and if they could stop the happenings in Chicago, Detroit, and DC.. then our murder rate would be the lowest it has ever been since record keeping started...

We need quite being reactionary and start being actionary preemptive.

I thought Abbott was great! talking about the on-the-boarder ranchers dealing with the drug cartels daily! Morgan was almost speechless  he was completely unprepared for that

Yes...it combined the self-defense argument, the property-defense argument, and the lack of control on the border argument. Trifecta.

That doesn't suit his agenda so you will never hear it on his program.

Sooo, according to the gun store owner, we only need shotguns for self defense (since we can't miss  ) BUT his security guy, who was more than obvious--and a bit silly looking-- was holding an AR? Why didn't he just have that shotgun? I sure was hoping someone would point that out.

More Ted from a local news source. A short interview done at his ranch:
