Re: Dems Going After Texas
The solution:
1) Having more kids. (I have 2 and I would like to have at least 2 more)
2) Enough of illegal immigrants that do come here by ignoring the law. Let us make it illegal entry to US and having those worked without social security a felon. Avoiding Taxes is what? Illegals residents working under the table are stealing services and benefits from all of us.

It's not as easy as it looks. Right, Santa Ana?
Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

I find it funny that all of these people who move to Texas for jobs and opportunity would want to turn it into the very places they are leaving from. God bless ignorant Americans, and immigrants for that matter.

I'm not sure if I should take insult to your comment or not.
My wife's family immigrated (legally) in 2004. They gave up all they had to come here and build a better life. Her Dad, already a graduate, went through school again to get his teaching certification and teaches high school now. Her mother went back to school and got a Masters, and works as an accountant. All of my wife's siblings have since graduated high school, and 2 have completed college degrees--and are both employed. My wife served her country in the military for 5 years, and is now a student working on her PharmD...
They all vote republican. They all see what a travesty the Democratic Party is. My point is this: lumping immigrants into a big group of ignorant people is uncalled for, and incorrect in many cases. Broad, sweeping generalizations are offensive, rude, and in this case, false. Please respect that.

Re: Dems Going After Texas
I think he meant the "transplants". Those folks that come from ultra liberal states because there is no work and its too expensive to live, then they try to turn the new place of residence to the very place they left.snatchel wrote:Geaux_loaded wrote:I find it funny that all of these people who move to Texas for jobs and opportunity would want to turn it into the very places they are leaving from. Edit: didn't see his immigrant comment, I guess he is a "native American"

They're just like the geniuses who moved to Arizona to get away from allergens up north. . . and then planted all the trees and shrubs that reminded them of home.Geaux_loaded wrote:I find it funny that all of these people who move to Texas for jobs and opportunity would want to turn it into the very places they are leaving from. I'm a transplant from The People's Republik of Kalifornia. I left happily. I have no desire to make Texas different. I like it how it is. That is why (amongst other reasons) I moved here. Not everyone moving here wants to make this some sort of "blue" state. Lived there, hated it.
Hello. My name is Red and I used to carry a .45. Now I carry a 9mm and it's getting easier to admit every day.

I came from Michigan. I like Texas as it is.
However, the immigration laws should be enforced, and the illegals deported, and those employing illegals should be put in jail.

I have lived in California, New Jersey and Ohio. By the grace of God, I live in Texas. Fiscal Conservative, keep it red.Geaux_loaded wrote:I find it funny that all of these people who move to Texas for jobs and opportunity

Same here brother. I moved here to give myself and freedom a fighting chance. If anything I will help to make Texas a much more free state and an example for the rest of the counrty.

Re: Dems Going After Texas
Perhaps what was intended was to say illegal immigrants, those that did not do what your wife's family did. I know a few folks who immigrated legally and they are almost all ticked off that they took the hard road, did things correctly, and are highly irritated by illegal immigrants.snatchel wrote:Geaux_loaded wrote:I find it funny that all of these people who move to Texas for jobs and opportunity would want to turn it into the very places they are leaving from.
