Instead of secession, a Constitutional Confederacy?

#1

Post by sjfcontrol »

So why, in my assessment of the electoral maps, mention secession at all?

Because an alternative worth contemplating seriously would be to pursue a Constitutional Confederacy -- an alliance of those states that are not under the mob rule of urban Leftists, whose delegations could assemble to re-ratify our Constitution and the Rule of Law it enshrines.

...

Now that is a movement in support of "We the People," which would generate a LOT of heartburn for Obama and his legions of urban socialists.

It would be better to enforce the constitution by whatever means necessary. As an added bonus, it's by definition constitutional, and lots of government employees carrying guns have already taken an oath to defend the constitution from domestic enemies. All they need to do is keep their promise.

The point of the Constitutional Confederation as I understand it is to return the Constitution to it's original form plus BOR and a very few later amendments, and cut off all the case law etc that has distorted the original intent

and what's going to become of Texas in the next 10 or so years when it's taken over by the same "mob rule of urban Leftists"? I live in the sticks, but I can see it rapidly happening from afar.
