I'm calling it: Gingrich/Rice in 2012

As the name indicates, this is the place for gun-related political discussions. It is not open to other political topics.

The best part of that map is the swing state disapproval numbers.

Places like Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Mexico and Colorado being unhappy with his performance are very very good signs.

Now we just have to hope the Republicans don't stick to their usual tactics and start compromising with everyone they see once they're in power so the media will say nice things about them.

Sigh.

I heard a good saying this week: "Remember: When you decide to vote for the lesser of two evils, you're still voting for evil."

Hmm...
And when you decide NOT to vote for the lesser of two evils, you vote for the greater! (You can quote me, too!)

The lesser of 3 evils. If you do not vote you are giving a vote for Obama and he will win. So my vote goes to Romney since I
believe he is the only Republican that can beat Obama. If Obama makes it another 4 years this country wil certainly be lost.

So, I hope that everyone goes out and votes.

Now that Trump and Goldman Sucks have endorsed Romney, I know how I'm voting if SCOTUS ever stops violating our right to vote.

That's why it's so tough fixing the problem. The people who pay little or no taxes outnumber the people paying the bills, and the freeloaders will fight tooth and nail to avoid paying their fair share.

To be clear -- are you calling seniors "freeloaders"?

(Especially since I see you're 102)

And I hope that people stop complaining about and start pushing for a switch to a ranked or preferential voting system so that we can stop beating this dead horse.

I'm going to vote for a candidate that I think will do a good job. It won't be a person with an R or a D behind their name...

As will I, unless the race looks close enough that I believe the R is threatened. In the presidential race it is winner takes all of the Electoral Reps. I expect Texas will cote very hard to the Republicans like it did 4 years ago. A vote to support the L's helps keeps the dream alive.

Voting for a conservative, regardless of party affiliation, is the best chance to spoil their plan to have four more years of Obama's policies.

Voting in a fresh face with the same policies (e.g. government talking away health care choices) is like reupholstering the deck chairs on the Titanic. We need real hope and real change.

That's a fine attitude for the primaries -- but -- in the final election, the choice is going to be between Obama, and some Republican (to be named later). Voting for some other conservative because he's more conservative than the Republican candidate is a pretty good recipe for 4-more-years of Obama.
