I think it's hilarious how the left villianizes Palin for "bringing down" McCain. That is just laughable drivel. McCain brought down McCain.

No, a lot of independants did not vote for McCain because of Palin. Tht is not a "Leftist" myth, that is a fact.

I never said that those were the only reasons that Obama was elected. Those are however the only answers I got from people my age (23, most of my friends are still in college). Any time I asked for a specific reason they chose him over McCain, they said they hated Palin or I got yelled at.

YMMV, but that was my experience.

:iagree: The only thing I will say about Paliin is that she didn't do much to help him, but quite frankly.... I don't think anyone could have helped him win. Romney is who we needed to clean up this economic mess and in my humble opinion that idiot Huckleberry not admitting his defeat split the conservative vote and left us with a dude who wears diapers.

I know one thing... if there is anything left of democracy after this socialist president is done destroying it in a couple more years, the Republicans better come up with someone younger to compete with the pseudo cool crowd who thinks it makes them hip to vote for Odumbell.

McCain's support for criminals in Arizona is a good part of why he didn't win.

He's still at it and that gives Hayworth a shot. :thumbs2:
When in doubt
Vote them out!

Is it possible for you to make a post without the uber clever "Odumbell" reference? Did someone tell you that was funny at one time, and you keep making that reference?

And, for the record, Obama is not a socialist, communist, facist or whatever label is being applied to him by talk radio nation. His politics are in the "left zone" compared to tea baggers, but the labels being applied to him would be humorous if there were not drones who actually believed that.

and what makes you think for one second that BHO's redistribution of wealth, government health care, government run corporations etc etc is not socialism?

edit: adding a few comments by one of BHO's most staunch supporters.....in her own words....

Socialist - a political advocate of socialism

Socialism - a political theory advocating state ownership of industry

Who owns General Motors these days? Oh, yeah, I believe 60% of GM is owned by the U.S. Treasury.

Totally looks like Obama's a socialist by this simple definition, and that's not even bringing up health care. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

As always, I'm not trying to be mean, that's just how I see it, and I am open to other points of view.

Yep... with Odumbells every word he proves himself to be anti-success, pro-distribution. That man has proved himself to be nothing short of a threat to the American way of life. Fortunately.... maybe I should say hopefully.... we will tame some of his more radical desires in November of this year.

I hate when guys I have on ignore get quoted and I have to read what they say. It creates desires to say things that will get me in trouble with the mods. I believe there are liberals that only own guns because they are scared and their deepest desire to eliminate all firearms has yet to happen. So they calm their fears by giving in and begrudgingly purchase a firearm. Then they hope and pray we get an anti-gun President that can make the world safe for all man kind. Well this is your guy liberals, but he has other wealth distribution schemes that rate higher on his agenda than gun control. Maybe you will get your wishes fulfilled if he gets a second term, which he won't, and you can finally relieve yourself of that gun you deeply regret having to own but are just too darned afraid to get rid of. What I don't fully understand is how they end up hanging out on forums that typically have conservative values and a love for the American way of life.

Yet another perfect example Fangs. Unfortunately, liberals will act like they don't notice this. there is nothing harder for a person who voted based on cool factor than to be forced to admit they made one very huge mistake. Even ole PSLowner claimed long ago he didn't know anything about Odumbells anti-gun agenda.

And to think; we could've voted this man into the presidency.

:iagree:

Everybody should be pulling for Rand in the Kentucky Senate Race. He'll have way more time in office than BHO did when the Presidential elections commence.

Obama, although evil, is not stupid. If he gets elected to a second term (lame duck), I think he will push foward on gun control. He knows doing so now might kill any chance of a re-election. Hopefully after Nov 2010, he will be nutered and this won't be a concern.

I was thinking the same thing. Surely this country won't have enough ignorant 18-21 year old retards left who haven't figured out the O is a socialist to vote his sorry butt back into office again. I realize it was cool voting for a rap star the first time, surely this same bunch will be hitting the work force by then and realize what Odumbell means by change.... as in.... only some change left in your pocket when he is done giving away the rest of your money to those that don't want to work for a living.

Odumbell has what is known as book smarts. He is the dumbest person on the planet when it comes to common sense. I am truly ashamed to call him our president. this has been a very dark period in our history indeed.:grumble
