Well they were going to focus on this but figured they'd get more bang for the buck reading Miranda rights to terrorists. :mad5

I copied and posted it on another board as well so we all got zipped.
Don't feel bad, its not like this something that would come out of the blue from the current administration now is it?

You guys don't feel bad at all for re-posting. Yes, it's old information but make no mistake, this current crop of yay-hoos are all over gun control and will stop at nothing to achieve it. Hopefully (and prayerfully) this new healthcare debacle will get voted down and that will be it for these clowns until at least November.

Sarcasm?
I think he wont go after it, now, but I think if he gets a second term you will see him going for it, or some other asinine gun law. But one of things he scored low with people on was gun rights, so he has done nothing but positive things when it comes to gun rights (Remember National Park Carry?).
If he gets another term expect something BIG, like Registration of all Ammo/guns/ ect

No it wasnt sarcasm. I truly believe that. Remember park carry was a rider in a bigger bill he wanted. Since the President cant have a line item veto he has to pass bills he wants with what has been included, park carry was a very small portion of a bill he wanted. You are right on the 2nd term, but I also believe that he will go after guns through regulatory policy that doesnt require legislation. I dont think he is a moron I think he is smart like a fox, and you have to remember his ideology is foriegn to many Americans, and so many Americans want to label him as inexperienced. I believe that once we all realize that he is doing everything he intends to do because he has an agenda we will all be better off. If we keep labeling him as stupid we are going to pay a dear price. Remember he wants to "transform" America.

I have a lot of experience in politics. My initial experience was when my dad ran for State offce when I was 17. That was 23 years ago. I have seen it all. Once you have seen the underbelly of politics the light bulb goes off very quickly. Unfortunately for most they have to depend on the media and talking points from politicians.

Brilliant as in crazy like a fox.
The health care overhaul seems to them to be now or never and they will be hard pressed to accept that it will never happen here.
No sitting congressman will be safe if this passes and every effort is given to repeal.
Most of the fed code could use some unwinding. May be the only relief we can get for the huge hole they have created.

Not sure on that, would be interesting to know. But a few months ago some pediatric magazine called for pediatricians to ask if they family owned guns and if so, to ask them to store them out of the house. If this health bill can restrict our weight, it wouldn't be surprising to restrict guns. Already insurance oftens bans behavior deemed risky, ie, sky diving, care racing, etc.
