Your claims have no basis in truth. I asked you to provide credible sources and you didn't. I then found where the claims of racist remarks were retracted due to not being credible.

Wonder what the nature of that hearing is? I did a criminal court records search and his name did not pop up in connection with this crime:

Not sure how Bexar County handles its pre-indictment felony cases. I would have thought his next court action would be a grand jury review to decide whether to indict him and proceed with the felony charge of theft from a person.

Certainly worth it to "stay tuned" on this case.

Not a judge yet. Prosecutor took to grand jury and they supported his charge. I predict plea agreement for misdemeanor charge, deferred adjudication, and anger management classes.

The part of me that doesn't want over-charging in our criminal justice system is OK with the deferred adjudication outcome. Another part of me that thinks that attacks on innocent people who happen to display the wrong political preference will continue to occur until a strong message is sent to them. This surely was not that message. One would hope that public apology for the conduct was part of the sentence. I doubt that is the case.
