I know Robert Duncan was one. He held up the Campus Carry bill in committee. I got an email from him stating so. He was also quoted in the Lubbock paper saying he didn't believe that guns on campus would make it safer and therefore wouldn't vote for it. Joe Heflin who is a democrat in the house said the same thing in the same article. They were both rated A+ and A respectively by the NRA.

Maybe I missed it but nobody except you is talking about lynch mobs.

We're simply discussing our right to vote for people to represent our interests in Austin. That's still our right even post Obama. Maybe we're not a big political force and they made a politically shrewd move by letting our bills die. If that's true, they have nothing to worry about. On the other hand, if they bet on the wrong horse, they should accept the consequences of their mistake.

The time to vote against your do-nothing incumbent is during the primary, not the general election.

Voting for the "opposition" regardless who it is, what is known about them, or without any reasonable expectation that they will not be better on our issue does not help us prepare for 2011. As I noted, no one in Texas is more frustrated than I am, but let's not cut off our noses to spite our faces. As Larry said, the primary is the key.
