I am lookinh at the Remington R-25 in .308. Anyone have any experience with this rifle? The review from gunsand ammomag.com was favorable. Seems like a pretty good buy from a reliable manufacture.
I have a Bushmaster XM-15 .223 that I am very pleased with the performance. Just looking for a larger caliber semi-auto for some variety.

Both the Remingtons and the Bushmasters are manufactured by DPMS, which is owned by the Cerberus Corporation - the parent corporation which owns Remington and Bushmaster. They are, with the exception of the name engraved into the lower receiver, the same rifles. So your Remington R-25 is essentially the same rifle as a
DPMS Panther LR308, but with a 20" chrome molly sporter barrel instead of a 24" stainless bull barrel. (I don't believe that Bushmaster is manufacturing an AR10 at this time).

Cabelas is running this rifle on sale for $1295, which ends on Dec. 1st, (I believe). I was at the Dallas gun show on Saturday, and the dealers there were asking $1650-1695 for the same rifle, which is amazing, because Remington says it should MSRP for $1545 (or close to that. Need to double check.)

Thanks for the info on Cabella's sale. Not a bad price if they still have any available.
