I know what you're saying! I finally ordered an EBR from Spike's in early April. This Friday is 8 weeks, and when I ordered, the delay was 6-8 weeks. They've subsequently been swamped, so no one knows exactly when the rifle will ship, and they're making no promises. I'd love to post a 'family portrait', but I've gotta wait for my middy to show up first. :waiting:

As a poet once said, "The waiting is the hardest part...."

I'm looking at putting the money down for a No Dak Spud lower and getting the wait process started. My problem is I want one of everything.... I want an AR-10 for hogs, a retro AR-15A1, a modern carbine....too many wants, too little money. :cryin

I'm in the same boat. I'm waiting on a Nodak Spud Lower for an M16A1 parts kit build, a McKay lower for an M16A2 parts kit build (both were ordered in April, hopefully will ship next week). Then I've got an Armalite lower with NM Trigger kit I eventually want to put a PWS Diablo upper on after sorting out the Form 1 stuff. Then an AR-10 lower sitting there that I may get around to building one day... Not to mention a couple of Saigas that need converting. Now just need a little more time, and a lot more money :???:

Where did you get your parts kit? GunThings has one with a parked barrel and FSB attached that looks mighty tempting.

Got them both from Sarco.

The M16A1 kit parts are new, just minor wear from years of storage. Barrel hasn't been parkerized, FSB is not attached. Currently trying to decide between park'ing the barrel myself, or getting one from Green Mountain Rifle - either way I'm on my own with the FSB.

The M16A2 kit parts are clearly used. Pretty good condition overall, hand-guards were good but the stock is in rough condition. Barrel came park'd with the FSB attached.

Planning to start building the uppers this weekend, so I'll know more next week.
