I have a lightweight polymer AR-15. it's a Bushmaster Carbon 15 I got at Academey three years ago. It came with a Bushnell TRS-25 Red Dot, and weighs about 5.5 pounds. What a treat to shoot! I've read mixed reviews on these, but I'm very happy with it. Part of the "lightness" so to speak is the pencil barrell. It's almost like weilding a handgun, it's so light. I still have yet to put it to "hard" use so see how much punishment it will take.

My Saiga .308 and my first AR built from scratch.

Currently has the following

NFA Poly Lower
BCM Upper
PSA BCG
PSA Pencil 1/7 16" barrel with A2 flash hider
Steel Low Pro gas block
Nitro Mid length Gas tube
CMMG LPK
Mako Group E-Lander MAGs
UTG Mil Spec buffer tube, spring and H buffer
Scorpion SOPMOD buttstock
11" Samson Evolution Rail (My favorite part)

I have a 80% lower on the way which I plan to finish and use :) If all goes well I will be order atleast the more 80% lowers and will hold onto the NFA poly's for backups. My goal was for it to be an ultra light rifle that will hopefully see little to no duty other than the range but if need be will be a reliable shooter with good BUIS sites and a decent optic.

Here's the final stage of my Bushmaster 308 ORC build. Apex handguard, Magpul stock, Trijicon 2.5-10x56 glass, Harris bi-pod. I desperately need a sling for it though.

Daniel Defense heavy 16" barrel and LiteRail

Cool, but he used Charlene to kill the Gunny and then himself. That'd be kinda like naming your car Christine.

That reminds me, my daughter named my truck yesterday. Hulk

Haha, I watch that movie at least twice a month and that never occurred to me! Oh well, I can't change her name now. And my truck's name is Mrs. HEMI, definitely not Christine

I've been scrambling working on guns since I got home... I'll have plenty of better pics soon, but here's a few teasers....

AR pistol, only new change is a Midwest T9 rail pulled off of my PSA 14.7" AR. I think it looks pretty wicked now!
Image

S&W M&P15-22, brand new, MOE edition. Added a sling, PA micro dot and AFG. Training/practice rifle.
Image

LMT lower/BCM upper AR. Changes from my previous pics include an ALG QMS trigger, Magpul trigger guard, Haley Strategic Thorntail offset light mount, Inforce WML (HSP edition) and Fortis REV rail. Barrel, Battlecomp and gas block are coming for my PSA AR, and when it's complete it will be essentially identical to this one.

ETA: Also a BCM Gunfighter Mod 0 grip.
Image

New OpTempo Paladin plate carrier that I just finished putting my preliminary setup on.
