What do you do when you see a 30.06 sign? Do you disarm? There's another option. Up-arm!

I like the blue bag best for concealed carry.

I carry a MAC10/9mm machine gun. 36rd mags, 1200 RPM! Even though its the size of a (very large, very heavy) pistol, it is not a handgun under Texas law...And if I switch the selector to semi, I can (barely) shoot it with one hand.

OK...OK...I don't really do this, but I could legally. And I do own one.

It looks like a Sneakybag. http://www.sneakybags.com/categories/Covert-Rifle-Bags/

In addition to 30.06 locations, a concealed long gun is not prohibited in 46.035 locations like bars and professional sports. However, all firearms are off limits in 46.03 premises like schools and racetracks (for the good guys.)
Wow, Sneakybags = about $170. I think I'll stick with a cheap raquet case from Academy. :tiphat:

Sorry, couldn't resist.

But seriously, my across the street neighbor was walking down the street with such a bag this morning, but he was using it to collect metal to recycle ..... he said.

+ 1 on the take my buisness elswhere.
If you do this, please tell the manager why you are taking your buisness elsewhere. If enough CHLs do this they might get the message.

What optic rail do you have that Aimpoint on? Is is beefy/sturdy and do the irons co-witness?

Wouldn't .30-06 be a more appropriate caliber for the rifle than 7.62x39?

But can you hit anything? Some years back I had the opportunity to shoot an early (open bolt) semi-auto MAC10 . . . at 25 yards, between the crude sights and the heavy bolt slamming forward, I couldn't keep all my rounds on the paper.

You know...

It's surprisingly accurate when I shoot two hand, with the telescoping stock extended and under my armpit. It has a fairly crude peep site. I can put short bursts in the 9/10 on silhouette targets all day long at about 25ft. Not bad for something that has a barrel about 4" long. Admittedly, you have to be really careful shooting it two handed. Your "steadying hand" goes under the box part of the body and the barrel only protrudes about 3/4" from the front. I have this (perhaps rational) fear of shooting off the tips of my fingers on my left hand. I like to use a fake barrel extension that screws on to the barrel. I have a silencer that screws on too (that was another $200 tax stamp, but came with the gun).

After reading this post I had an epiphany, of sorts. I was looking for accessories for my glock and came across an advert for a stock. The ad also had the warning that if you own a glock pistol and bought the stock, you would then have to register the pistol as an SBR. So my idea is that if my glock is now registered as a short barreled rifle I should now be able to carry my “rifle” around anywhere and not be constrained by the handgun laws. I could even conceal that "rifle" and not have to have a CHL. I would just need to have the ATF tax paperwork with me whenever I am carrying that rifle around. Just a thought.
